The Cotto that fought Floyd still gets beat.

 

No he didn't become shot and then unshot again. He has in my opinion been in steady decline since he was beaten by Margarito and especially Pacquaio, and 154 is above his best weight too. He may not be shot but he is certainly past his best

 

forget about this fight there is no point in seeing it Canelo just spanked the guy who dominated Cotto.... you all know Cotto is done so rather than call for this fight call on your boy Money May to step up and take the fight

Its not like he looked terrible against Trout, it was still a relatively close fight.


He looked better against a higher calibre of opponent, his style is better suited for Canelo as well.

Both show poor conditioning, but Ginger is 21 and Cotto is not.

Some of you are underestimating Cotto. Styles makes fights, and I think Cotto's style could expose some of Canelo's flaws. It'll be a great fight with Canelo overpowering eventually I think. Be stupid if this fight doesn't happen, this is likely the next biggest fight to FMJ, for canelo.

 

Cotto was knocked down twice and KTFO by a small guy like Pacquiao. Canelo would bully him.

 

Stylistically, Cotto has tools to give Canelo problems, but I think it just comes down to Cotto being naturally smaller, very shopworn, and past-it. If they were naturally the same size and Cotto was in his prime, I'd favor him heavily. He was just a more skilled operator than Canelo.
