Floyd gets paid more with higher draws. According to Forbes he has upside potential based on PPV numbers.

As far as his greatest fight, I completely disagree. Guerrero is a harder fight than Canelo for Mayweather. Canelo boxes he doesn't brawl. We know he can't outbox Mayweather. The fight could easily look like Mayweather v. Baldomir but worse because Canelo will likely try to box and does not condition well. That and the fact that fighting more often for Mayweather will make him sharper makes Canelo easy work.

First off Cotto didn't bust up PBF. He bloodied his nose from a jab nothing else he threw bothered PBF. PBF busted up Cotto. Canelo could very well beat PBF mainly based on size and PBF is old. If both were the same size however even at PBF's age I would pick him to beat Canelo.

after may 4th i'll vote on this.

  5. Floyd is a overrated, Moroccan bum .. he benefits from a weak division.
Similar like Haye, he get the credit which he don't deserve.

Guerrero will give him a tough fight, maybe even win.

But Canelo, Trout, GGG .. guys like this would murder him in the first half of the fight.

Saul would not the benefit of crooked judges vs Floyd.

Also, Floyd is a much better dirty fighter than Alvarez.

    Floyd by TKO.

There were times when the soft hitting Trout has Alvarez slumping. Floyd isnt know as a banger but he's highly accurate with his counters.

As much as I hate Roid Mayflower, he'd lay waste to the ***gy white mexican :deal:deal:deal

Canelo is a little sloppy and gets sloppier when he gets tired. I'm actually disappointed in Canelo's stamina. At 21 he should be able to go 12 full rounds and he obviously can't or he would have KO'd Trout.

Floyd makes Canelo work hard til' he starts to gas then turns up the heat and KHTFO.

    I'd say it'll take about 8 rounds.

Boxing at range was part of their plan but Canelo often gives up ground when a fighter feints at him or his first two shots miss. He lacks the ability to punch on the move, a bit. He's a decent pressure fighter but after watching the Mosley, Lopez, Cintron, and now Trout, I can see that he lets his fighters off the hook too often. The first half of the Trout fight he was trying to come forward and land shots and was too patient at times. Like BBall pointed out in his thread, he likes to explode into his offense, and he's quite effective when doing so, but if he misses that combination or a fighter comes back with something, he steps back and needs time to restart the stalking process, meanwhile the minutes go by. Floyd's getting cornered more often but you need to be more consistent than Canelo is coming forward to mount a meaningful offense. Canelo has a shot but needs to improve is stamina, his ability to cut off the ring, and integration of his head movement and forward motion.

When was Floyd in trouble against Cotto??

What Canelo did last night to prove that he "destroys" Floyd?

Floyd will not fight Canelo, he doesn't want hard fights. He hasn't fought any one since DLH. Canelo takes the fight easy

canelo manhandles floyd. even if he doesnt hit floyd flush, he will toss him off balance enough to follow up with scoring combos. this kid is fast, powerful, better defence than floyds seen in years and hes getting better each time out. floyd just doesnt have the pop at 154 to discourage canelo from bulldozing in on him. he also picks his spots very well and mixes up his apprach quite good, so he wont be easy to set up for counters. when people first started talking about floyd vs canelo, i stated that the time to fight him was then because in a couple of years he would be too much for floyd... well, he is now too much for floyd.

The Canelo of last night landed 30 punches LESS THAN Trout, and landed 60 total punches LESS THAN COTTO did on Trout this past December. Nothing hard for Mayweather on that. In fact, Canelo landed 59 power punches LESS THAN Cotto was able to land on Trout this past December.
