Prescott was also stopped by Alvarado, and lost to Mitchell, Vasquez, Lawson, McCloskey (who Khan beat) and Garcia. I wouldn't brag about that win if I were you. But you are right Khan sucks.
That dude was like a foot taller than him and he looked great in there. P4p him and Gonzalez are the best right now, not Floyd or Pacquiao or Klitschko. I said there are different ways to determine who is the best. Skills is one way. The year's opposition is another. But all the guys on that ESPY poll are only there for their name recognition. A guy like Amnat Ruenroeng or Naoya Inoue won't get any consideration from them. I'm sure that there are plenty of fighters who deserve the accolade more. MMA sites only get clicks from articles about Ronda Rousey and Brock Lesnar. (I read that once from the guy who runs bloodyelbow, I think.) And boxing sites need Mayweather and Pacquiao content to generate their revenue. It's a star system, just like Hollywood. Sam Rockwell is a badass actor, but he doesn't draw as many pairs of eyes as an interview with Tom Cruise.
Ring had Broner in the top ten for like 2 years. They had Guerrero rated top 10 as soon as Mayweather agreed to fight him too. At least Crawford is better than them.
Has it ever been more obvious? 117-110'ing Maidana in the unneeded rematch and 117-111'ing Pacquiao to unify 3 belts + the lineage in "The Fight of the Century" between most peoples' top 2 P4P fighters? Every other option a huge stretch by comparison.
Guerrero, Broner, and Alvarez all entered the top 10 when they did a "ratings revamp" or something like that where they changed up all their ratings overnight. It was December 2012, I believe, although not certain. Guerrero got booted after losing to Floyd 6 months later, Broner got booted after losing to Maidana just less than a year later, and Alvarez got the boot after losing to Floyd about 9 months later.
Yeah, but he looked like **** when he did both. In the case of Maidana clinching is an illegal move which he probably wouldn't have won without doing 100 times. In the case of Pac the dude was a one armed fighter after round 4. So both wins are tainted.
floyd is not a fighter. he is a boxer, who can hug and run on the ring. rousey beats him in a street fight.
