My vote was for Inoue just over Josh Taylor in second place.

Yeah I know it's normal and while I can certainly understand the need to taking a longer breaks after taking part in a brutal battle but some of the fighters these days are taking extended breaks even after easy wins, quick KO's etc.
Most of these awards come down to peoples different tastes and standards but for me when it's a close decision i'm always going to be swayed by the quality of opposition obviously as well who the busier fighter is.
Barring injuries,I agree with you and would prefer to see the top boxers 3-4 fights a year, for example it's harder to respect somebody like Gary Russell jr who has fought once a year since 2015 with 4 of those 5 fights being stopped by the 7th round, which nobody wants to see becoming the norm

Yes I agree with that although you could see from early on Beterbiev was hurting Gvodyk but Gvozdyk wasnt hurting Beterbiev. So although it was close on the cards, Beterbiev was the man doing the damage in there.

My question for you is who has a better win than Beterbiev in the list?

None, but they were two evenly matched fairly young guys in a 50/50 fight. Pacman is an old man, older than me even, and he beat two young guys, one of which most thought he'd lose to.

If you give it to Canelo then you must include Bob Bennett, the NSAC, USADA, Vegas boxing & their officials too They've done as much as he has

The two that emerged as P4P #1 and #2; Canelo then Inoue.

Taylor, Spence, and Pacquiao next up to round out the top 5.

Agree across the board. I flipped a coin for Manny/Canelo. Canelo by coin toss.

I’ve got it pacquiao due to him beating a undefeated top5 fighter in Thurman while being past his prime and also beating bronze comfortably. I’d then have Taylor and inoue rounding of the top 3 with them both having great years to prospect announcing themselves to the causal fans

I vote for Canelo Alvarez although I think Kovalev was a big letdown and had all the tools to dominate the smaller fighter. Canelo scored that huge win and that put him at the number one spot pound for pound and fighter of the decade in my opinion.

Was going to go Taylor as he's fighting prime h2h matchups but I can't take away from PAC at that age, even though I think Thurman has looked fairly dubious since his layoff ..

    Manny
    Taylor
    Artur

    Top 3 for me..

Kovalev was the legit WBO champion and top 3 in the division when he fought Canelo.

It's Manny Pacquiao, and it's far from close. Inoue did better than. Canelo and so did Taylor. Canelo's best wins this year are over a weight drained Jacobs who should've lost to Derevyanchenko and a shot Kovalev who took a dive. Lmao at the cucks who picked little ginger bollocks
