    Great discussion-great division.Favourite boxers at this weight are Archie Moore and Harold Johnson,a little later Bob Foster looked unbeatable in his day,as did Spinks.John Conteh,IMO,would have beaten Foster at the stage when he was after the fight and who knows after that?He did well anyway,but probably because of circumstances,underachieved.
    Wonder if it wasnt for carrying on too long if Roy Jones would have featured much more heavily in the discussion?

    Pretty much every lhw in those days did a lot of their best work in the hw division. It probably wasn't until the likes of pastrano and torres that lhw champs stayed dedicated within the division because it was always a stepping stone division with the heavyweight champs not being much heavier in realistic terms.

    That being said, bivins without doubt did enough within this division to earn a top ten place.

    Once below an overall score of 10, all it takes is one (Roy Jones inspired) fanatic and you're away.

    The drop off after #9 is insane in tems of scoring...boxing.com basically makes the claim that there is a top 9 at LHW...
