Great fight! I hope this happens soon b/c at 160 both of these guys are the top players. I'm leaning towards Kelly only b/c he is bigger and has more experience given the fact that he went 12 rounds with one of the best MW's ever. Abraham is a live dog but I think Kelly beats Arthur.
What am I making up? You constantly try and pretend that Pavliks resume is much better than it is. Who said Arthurs is great? Not me. He has fought a lot of rubbish too, and I side towards Pavlik beating Arthur. But you did throw in "2005 Zuniga" is if that was somehow a totally different fighter than 2007, 2008 or 2009. It isn't. Eastman is a better name than everyone bar Taylor. Other than that there is not much to pick between them.
OK. I'm never one to hide my ignorance, but I just went to boxrec and the only names I recognize on Eastman's resume are guys he lost too. Since I only get over the air broadcast I haven't seen many fights over the years. I'm catching up with the help of the net, but geez... Eastman was beaten buy some good names, but what good names did he beat? Two years after losing on points to AA he was losing on points to an even greener John Duddy.
Neither guy has what I would call a stellar resume'. However, it remains true that Arthur has been fighting guys who operate at about the same level as a shot to **** McKart. McKart D12 Marquez, McKart UD 12 Spearman, Simon TKO3 Spearman. Pavlik surpassed that level in 2005, and with the exception of Pierre and Lockett has not revisited it.
