Are you kidding? How does 12 rounds of hugging and feigning low blows indicate he would have won prime 4 prime??? All it indicates is he is a cheating **** who cant live with Calzaghes pace now.

When you watch Hopkins vs Calzaghe, then watch young Bernard Hopkins vs Roy Jones jr, or Trinadad. You will see a big difference in the 2 Hopkins, The old Hopkins lays back and works more on counters, but the younger Hopkins came forward against Jones Jr most of the fight.

As for Calzaghe, when you compare the Calzaghe who fought Hopkins with the Calzaghe who fought veit, or Salem, there is not a MAJOR difference between the 2 Calzaghes, so you CANNOT say that Calzaghe was was past his prime by alot. But you can say Bernard Hopkins was past his Prime by alot.

Bernard Hopkins was in his prime at 160 (72.5 KG) at Middleweight, while Calzaghe was in his Prime at 168 (76ish KG) at Suppermiddleweight, so how can you say Calzaghe 'to come up to a weight' when Hopkins fought at a lighter weight.

The last time Calzaghe tried it was by a Split Decision, which is a very very close decison that could easily go either way. And no doubt about it, the Calzaghe Vs Hopkins fight was a very very close fight, many people had Calzaghe winning, many had it Hopkins winning, and you are saying that Calzaghe beats him everytime, that just sounds a little wrong. (I had Hopkins winning on fight night, after rewatching it i had Calzaghe win by 1 single point.)

Out of Calzaghe's 32 KO wins, 30 have been TKO, which means that the Referee or another offical intervend and didnt allow the opponent to continue. Like the peter Manfredo TKO victory, which was just a stampede of slaps. What im saying here is Calzaghe didnt Knock out his opponents cold, and Bernard Hopkins hasnt been seriously hurt in his fights, so to suggest that Calzaghe will Knockout Hopkins who has never lost to a KO, is just the result of the misunderstanding of Calzaghe's 30 TKO, and 2 KO victories.

KO Boxing. After responding here, my odds of a Calzage victory prime for prime have actually increased slightly. I'm still certainly not writing off Hopkins winning, but for guys to be so air tight sure that Hopkins would win seems to be either an irrational lack of respect for Calz. or some sort of pedestal for which you place Hops.
