Do you prefer if an elite fighter stays inactive for many months while negotiating a big fight or that in the meantime he fights bottom half top15 opponents? I'm just asking cause i would rather have an elite fighter take 4 or 5 fights a year with 1 or 2 being really big fights than 1 or 2 really big fights a year with nothing in between, but it seems that on this board general opinion is the opposite.
feel free to give more details on your vote since it'll also keep the thread on the first page eze i agree that they deserve more time in between fights but I mean if they choose to fight tune-ups in between big fights then i'm all for it. I will not criticise if they don't, but i will be happy if they do.
Stay active fighting lower Top 15 guys in between big fights, especially if you're a young contender on the up or young Champion who still needs experience to become as good as he can be...once you hit your peak, though, I think you should fight the very best out there only, win or lose, and only fight other, lesser fighters if it helps you get another shot at the best or to help you with your sparring/recovery and preparation for a big fight...
As a fan I like for a great boxer to stay active. Fight the best, build a great resume but have in mind that fighting great opposition is the best way to be recognized as the best.
Ofcourse I prefer to see my favourite fighters fight as much as possible ( thats why my favourite fighter is Mosley) , but what I prefer doesnt favor boxers unless they are building their reputation, if fighter can make tons of money from big fights those few tune ups in between wont make them richer, they might even make less money from big fight if their perform not as expected in tune up fights, and theres allways risk of injury or even a loss wich can make big deference when purses is divided.
