I have long been a Trojan doubter, I'm just not sure this is his stumbling point or that Obara is the guy to expose him.

I've never had much faith in his skills, but I think Cuenca didn't have the fire power or reach to trouble him, so he played it safe, and even then Troya fought a discipline fight both times and took no risks against Cuenca. But Obara does have the reach, height and the power to be an issue for him, and if he plays it as cautiously as he did with Cuenca, he might end up getting outboxed too..

Keita does have more of a chance than AEV to score an upset, especially as his power does seem at least somewhat legit against int'l competition...and like CST pointed out I've long had concerns about Troya's chin ever since feather-fist Lacerda rocked him.

If he is to get the W it has to be via KO. He won't get the nod in Russia.

The other is just a complete mismatch. Valori doesn't have anywhere near enough pop to hurt Chakhkiev, whose stoppages have been more to do with fatigue and came against guys several tiers above the Argie.

What is Karakash's reputation in terms of his pull/influence?

Guessing he is squarely behind Hrunov (sort of the Al Haymon of Russia, for both his wallet and cutthroat stratagems) but is he like #2 in the country?

I only have a vague idea of his stable...or that of any other Russian manager/advisor besides Vlad H.

I can't find any reliable information on his roster other than Chakhkiev, Troyanovsky, and Igor Mikhalkin. It complicates matters that he is also frequently billed as the matchmaker for cards featuring boxers promoted and/or managed by others.

Yeah he was, and so was I since I picked Troyanovsky by KO too.:deal: You piece of garbage.

For the record, Obara almost did spring the upset, he hurt Troya pretty badly in the first round.
