Yefimovich is a bit like Senchenko, has some talent and all the fundamentals down but doesn't have that single standout trait to set him apart at the top level. No explosive speed or power, just good solid ham-n-eggs boxing with educated movement and technical work either jabbing in step or punching in combination.

Santillan is going to take him twelve.

He landed more of his overhand rights in the tenth, just barely clipping Yefimovich on the jaw as the local favorite pulled straight back with his hands down.

If Yefimovich gets tired enough, Santillan might even make an argument in one of the upcoming championship rounds - but obviously he needs a KO and probably isn't going to get that.

Whatsisname on play-by-play is starting to criticize the lack of any effort by Yefimovich to stop Santillan (since the 9th).

At least he gave it a crack in the 9th. Didn't work. Realized it isn't going to happen. Lay off him.

It's not like any long-reigning British champions were ever content to jab and lovetap their way to victory against a tough opponent, right?

There's a twelfth round coming up, then score reading etc.

    Then another 12-rounder.

    Then probably some down time.

Then ring walks for Senchenko vs. Malignaggi, and all the bells-and-whistles of anthems, pageantry, etc.

Really pretty combos by Yefimovich at the end.

    Santillan has CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN

Stopped once in 44 bouts, by the respectable Hawk Makepula.

 If boxing was a "Show off your punch resistance" contest instead of "hit and don't get hit", he'd unify the division.

Scores were read in Ukrainian, obviously - but Yefimovich won on points, obviously.
