Vyacheslav Shabranskyy is a 6'2 28 year old Ukrainian Light Heavyweight with a 15-0 12 KO's record. Born in Zhytomyr, Ukraine but now LA based. Thjis Golden Boy acquisition started out as a Kickboxer and has now moved into Boxing. His speaks English and seems to be quite a character, which may help him be a crossover star and appeal to US fans. He has an Unorthodox brawling style, and thudding power, with a good trainer to reign in some of his bad habits he can be a force to be reckoned with, Abel Sanchez may be a good fit.
Yet another scary ass Slav blowing in from the East is one more reason why the LHW Division is getting really good and may be the most must see division in the next couple of years.:toney:toney:toney:toney
Good thing he has a decent personality, he looks like an butthole.:blood
Slava Shab or VShab would be an improvement, because that name is a bit much.:-( Postscript, his nickname is SlavaChingonsky.

Your description of their styles is often less than accurate. Slava's a boxer/puncher, an aggressive one but certainly not a brawler.

People don't care about details, if I see them fighting a style in 1 particular match that's visually appealing, I go with that style to describe them, he's a boxer puncher who can brawl, what's more appealing to people .....Brawling. I'm trying to turn people on to them, not bore the fukk out of them. Oh check out this great boxer puncher..... isn't very compelling.:think Is it.

I hate elitists who get caught up in sweet science intricacies and inside lingo its very boring and turns people off, kind of like math lessons, some but not all fans on these forums are just regular fans that don't know or want to know **** about the sport, they just want to see good fights and good fighters. And I'm trying to show them someone good.

All they want to do is fight about Pacquiao and Mayweather, and at least I'm attempting to turn them on to someone they may not have heard about, I'm doing a prospect thread on Shabranskyy for God sakes and you want to ***** about what type of fighter I call him, what the fukk is wrong with you, populism is good for the sport lighten up.:good

You called Beterbiev a crude brawler or something to that effect too if you're trying to get a casual interested selling their skill level short isn't helping the casue. They can tune into FNF to catch a brawl but someone like Beterbiev is refined violence and brutality which can only be acquired through the amateur pedigree he has and it shouldn't be overlooked.

It's like a spree killer who finally gives into his impulses and goes on a brief sloppy rage ending after a couple victims and getting caught compared to a killer who knows what they are and puts in the forethought and intelligence that allows them to indulge for decades without getting caught like the most accomplished serial killers.

The masses want to read about The Zodiac Killer, The Butcher of Rostov, The Beast of Ukraine, The Green River Killer not some clown who shoots a McDonald's cashier in the face and gives a Mother a gunshot wound to the leg while trying to flee Police at a fast food establishment.

I know what your saying and agree, and I figured I catch **** for my descriptions of their styles, obviously Beterbiev is far more skilled than I'm giving him credit for, but I'm too cynical sometimes and think a lot of fans are in love with the KO and violence, I'm guilty of that as well, so I'm selling that angle.
Some fans don't know the subtle differences that makes Morales and Barrera far more skilled than your typical Mexican brawler, and they never will.

I'm also trying to write the descriptions with more impact and not long winded like I usually am, in my other threads. When fans click on a thread and they see a shitload of amateur record talk and lingo about style their eyes glaze over. GGG and Kovalev are very skilled well rounded fighters and no one cares they just like the KO's. The average person also doesn't get the difference between Hitler and Idi Amin, as far as the killer analogy goes, but I know where you are coming from, I just think brawling sounds better to an average person.
