If Wlad fought a prime Lewis, his safety first style would go to rat-****, Lewis is a big guy, he has a much longer reach than Wlad, so Wlad's jab wouldn't be able to neutralize him, second, Lewis always threw more kinds of punches than just jabs and straight rights, if Wlad wanted to beat a prime Lewis, he would have to change his style to a more open one

I'm not sure he would have dominated when Tyson was prime or throughout Lewis' reign. Ali, Foreman and Frazier all present huge problems for him too. Any other time, yes. I believe he could outbox Holmes, knock out Liston and certainly beat any fighter prior to the start of Ali's prime

 

I didn't say he doesn't beat Lewis, I'd give them both about 50/50 chance of winning, both of them have questionalbe chins, so I'd say it would be a jabbing contest until the first big punch of the fight, but that's just my opinion
