According to the current headline on the front page of this site, Klitschko is planning on trying to avenge his loss to Corrie Sanders.

I have nothing against Wlad, I think he's a great fighter, but picking fights like this just makes him look plain bad. First he "avenges" his loss to Brewster, whos been out of action quite a while, and Wlad was his first fight back. Now he wants to take a shot at Sanders, who also has had a long break, and declined a bit since their first fight. Talk about taking advantage of the situation.

I realize there isnt the best selection of fighters to pick from in the HW division, but I am sure he can do better then this... This is just making me lose respect for the guy. :bart

theres no point, thats a clear step down in terms of where he wants to be as a fighter. Sanders is working on getting his AARP not a championship belt, leave the old man alone.

id love to see W.K. in the ring with oliver mccall. that would be pretty damn interesting with mccalls power and his awesome chin. of course that would be if mccall was mentally all there

Sanders fought not long ago, and has been on a comeback in which he's been calling Klit out.

So Sanders is not the best choice, no,but look at who else is out there. See what I mean? Sanders is the only decent fight to be made, aside from Virchis.

I applaud Wlad if he fights Sanders. Sanders is a good choice of the lot that is available. Certianly.

As far as I am concerned all teh heavyweights are garbage. If Wlad can't get an immidiate fight with another belt holder and needs a stay busy fight, I don't see a problem with this as long as he first exhausts all options for any type of unification fight.

Is he going to fight Ross Purity after Sanders? This Wlad Klitscho revenge tour is pathetic.

Not long ago he was being heavily criticized for not avenging any losses, now he IS criticized for avenging the first loss, and now wanting to avenge the second.

The man canNOT please some people, no matter what he does.

How about Sanders vs Purity II, with the winner getting Wlad? I get a kick out of these negative fans hyping Wlad’s opponent up, only to tear him down the moment after Kltischo’s fists do the talking in the ring. Before it was Wlad doesn’t avenge his losses. Now its Wlad should leave the two others who beat him alone. Classic flip flopping.

While you are right in that there arent many options for a fight out there, I dont think this fight would be very competitive. I havent seen Sanders since his return, the man is 41 years old now, and I'm sure its not the same Sanders who fought Wlad a couple years ago. Not to mention I think Wladimir's skill and expierience has increased since then.

I guess if no other fights can be made, and as mentioned Wlad is just looking to stay active then I guess why not. But he has just won a bout this past Saturday. I dont think he put in all the effort he can into looking for a more worthy opponent, perhaps some of the names thrown around in this thread.

IMO Wladimir wouldnt prove much beating an old and declined Sanders, thats all. It would just make him look like hes trying to exploit his past conquerers age, or inactivity.

Other then that I like Wladimir, and I suppose it isnt his fault for small number of options in the HW division at the moment.

Virchis and Povertkin are not at the level to fight for the title yet,
they need beat some recognized gatekeepr and journeyman with name.
Ruiz need to redem himself fighting Tua. McCall is setting up his chances
against WBC where he is next mandatory after Vitaly.

Golota and Sanders need at least one more fight with top #30 to prove
they are back into the mix.Valuev is good choice as well Holyfield.

One, there is no one out there to give Wlad a good competition, other than Vitali, and we all know that's never going to happen.

Two, all this hype about unifying the belts is bull****. Chagaev, Ibragimov, Maskaev are all great boxers, but garbage boxers if Klitschko is considered. I dont need to see Klitschko have two or more Pimped-out belts in his hands for a light to go of on top of my head to tell me that Klitschko is a great boxer. I knew that for a while now. There is nobody at the moment for Klitschko to fight.

Three, he cannot sit and wait.

Four, he might as well knock the hell out of that golfer Saunders who is neither a boxer, nor a fighter, just a man with a Juggernaut hand. Saunders landed, Klitschko fell. That doesnt make Saunders something exceptional, neither does it make Klitschko look bad.

Five, its up to the boxers to decide who they want to fight. They both want it badly, let them both have it. I will watch it because I have HBO. And I will enjoy it. Obviously I would love to see Klitschko fight someone stronger, but there really aint anyone than maybe Virchis, but he too needs to have a top ten test.

Wlad also mentioned that if the Sanders fight can't be made, he'd like to face the nasty cold that he fought last winter.

Brewster was acutally his third loss and Sanders was his second. I think Wlad is the top heavyweight out there. The top heavyweight shouldn't be fighting 41 year old, way past their prime, part-time professional golfing bums. I would've been impressed if Wlad would have fought Sanders relatively soon after the first fight. Instead, he let his brother do his dirty work for him and now he wants revenge against the guy 4 years later when the guys skills have seriously eroded. Maybe Golota should get revenge against a half retarted Bowe. I bet you would be excited about that too. If you wanna see your boy Wlad beat up on washed up fighters then that's your problem. Don't get on me becasue I want to see him challenge himself.
