My opinion exactly. Unification first, if not, then avenge a defeat. Better late than never.

Corrie has been calling Wlad out & he has 2 recent, decent wins............

If Wladimir has nothing better to do at the moment, I guess it couldn't hurt. I mean.. it won't do much, but it won't hurt much, either.

    :good

Power is one of the last things to go when a fighter gets old, he's still got some good handspeed too. He hasn't lost that southpaw stance has he? I think he's dangerous for any of the HW's today, at least for a few rounds.

Peter is slated to fight for Maskaev's belt and the immediate mandatory is Vitali Klitschko, assuming he beats McCline.

    Where have you been?

if he had fought these guys at the time, 3 or 4 years ago before they retired as in Sanders case who has also been beat up by his big brother and softened up since their fight!
In brewsters case, a guy who suffered a severe eye injury in his last fight [a loss] over a year ago, which clearly was the reason the trainer told lamon after the 2nd round he wasnt going to let him get hit tonight. A guy that was physically and psychologically in no condition to fight.

What a waste of time, its meant to be a world title he is defending! Whats next, will he be digging up ross purritty?

    Too late, completely meaningless.

He needs to beat ibragamov/chagaev winner, he will hold the lineage of victory over wlad from wlads loss to brewster, thats where he will find his redemption, not by beating a blind man or a retired golfer.

Stop with the ****in golfer ****. Sanders was a very good HW contender.

Oh, and Brewster wasn't blind, by his own admission the eye was not a factor in his loss.

he would have had to beat brewster several years ago, befor ehis detatched retina and previous loss and inactivity. He clearly wasnt in mental or physical condition to fight due to that eye injury, thats why the trainer said after one or 2 rounds that he wont let him get hit, why? because the eye injury was a worry. It was bruno tyson 2, bruno had a detatched retina and mentally was scare dto get hit just like brewster.

Sanders is younger than Mccall or Holyfield, and punches harder. Power is the last thing to go, and Sanders has that. Foreman was able to lumber around big & fat at 45 years old and still win fights because he could punch.

i hope the same people who are scoffing at Sanders' age are smart enough to not get caught dead cheerleading Holyfield's comeback or even hinting at a Lewis return.

I can't believe so many people are perfectly ok with Wlad fighting Sanders. Does anybody realize that Sanders has only had two comeback fights since a 2 year retirement and that he was 20 lbs heavier in his last fight than he was the last time Wlad him, and that he's not even a top 20 heavyweight(no. 52 according to boxrec). I'm far from a Wlad hater, but I see no value in him fighting Sanders. People were all over Imbragimov when they said he might fight Holyfield. Most people won't think any better of Wlad if he beats Sanders, and he'll become a joke if he loses.
