W Klitschko vs. R Chagaev. You make the call

Klitschko mid to late fight stoppage.

 

I'm taking Wlad by competitive UD, 8-4 or 8-3-1.

 

Wladdy wide wide decision, don't think he looks to unload as hes cautious with SOuthpaws.

I had a dream Joe Louis and Wladdy were fighting and Joe Louis was gliding in and brutalising Wlads ribs, he really looked in serious pain and didnt know what to do when hurt, he kept trying to turn away from Louis despite being hammered. In the dream I was shouting instruction to Wlad like 'time your right on his way in' 'keep your hand up' 'uppercut inside' but he wouldn't follow instruction. The size difference looked massive and I couldn't believe a smaller man was just knocking the stuffing out of a bigger elite boxer so easily

 

I think the combination of Chagaev's iron jaw (perhaps the best in the HW division atm) and Wlad's reluctance to fully open up against explosive, counter punching southpaws makes it a pretty sure bet that this one goes the distance. If there is a TKO, it's mostly likely Wlad re-living a nightmare or something related to cuts.

 

I see Ruslan getting impailed on the end of Wlads jab until his face is a balloon and Wlad unloads the booming right, to end it mid to late. This guy is just too passive to fight the fight he needs to inorder to get to Wlad. Maybe he will suprise us all and come out firing. Doubt it.:-(

 

I think the physically and giftwise superior Wlad Klitschko will win a wide, and excruciatingly dull decision over another Ibragimov-type guy in Chagaev. Wlad will score with the jab all night long and the clever but limited Chagaev will not allow himself to be knocked out, and will see the final bell. This result, if it pans out this way, won't enhance Wlad's stature amongst the average fight fan, who having amnesia, for recall both Ali and Lewis being forgiven for the most part for similar performances, as well as many great champions in lower weight classes throughout the years.

 

I'd expect such a thing to happen if they time-machined.

I'd normally expect Wlad to be over-cautious, but I have a feeling he'll look to set up and bomb out Ruslan to give the fans a show. Could be totally wrong, just a guess.

 

Given what is on the line I dont think Wlad will take risks.

I expect him to fight safety first for a boring but clear UD or possibly score a late TKO.

 

Wlad wins by decision or late KO.

 

This is what I think as well. We will probably see some shades of the Ibragimov fight, only Ruslan will likely be a bit more courageous and take a few rounds.

Incidentally, I'm hoping for an upset win for Chagaev.

You should have been trying to help Louis.
