W. Klitschko's two wins over Byrd are much better than Lewis's two best ever wins

Holyfield wasn't 10 years past his best, unless you think Holyfield was only prime in the first 5 years of his career?

Holyfield had one great night left in him in the second Lewis fight. after that though, he was just treading water. i mean, how much desire can you really have if you know you can't become Heavyweight champ because Lewis holds the belts? Holyfield was never going to give his all in fights after that, only giving half assed performances. and it showed.

Vitali is much better than Wladimir. anyone with a brain can see that. if they fought prime for prime, Vitali would crash Wlad in a few rounds.

Byrd didn't beat Vitali either. he was dominating that fight until an injury occurred. an injury that Byrd didn't cause by his own hands. so that isn't really a win with any merit.

Holyfield was clearly past it when Byrd got to him. put Byrd in the ring in 99 for all the belts, Holyfield comes out on top.

Lewis legitimately stopped Vitali in their fight with his fists. Byrd didn't come close to doing anything of the sort.

Holyfield was P4P #3 when Lewis was robbed of victory in their first fight and it was three years after Lewis beat him that he lost to Byrd after fighting for 11 rounds of a 12 round fight with a torn rotator cuff in his shoulder. Fact is, the Holyfield that Byrd beat was no where near as good as the Holyfield that Lewis beat and Lewis's win over Holyfield is far better, far more meaningful than Byrd's.

Vitali was well ahead on the cards and easilly on his way to winning when he quit and forfieted the fight because of a shoulder injury - pretty much the same one Holyfield had. Vitali gave up in that fight, he refused to fight on even though he could have easilly jabbed and hugged his way to victory, whereas against Lewis his face was torn to shreds and it was the doctor at ringside who decided it wasn't safe for him to continue. Lewis's win over Vitali is much better than Byrd's one.

I'm disappointed that Lewis retired after he tried to eat one Klitschko for breakfast and the other one for lunch. He finally had some men close to his size who actually had some skill to fight him back. His win over Vitali isn't exactly spectacular in my opinion. Lewis wasn't running around the ring, perching himself on the bottom rope after his win vs VK because he didn't have the energy to do that kind of thing left while Klitschko still had plenty of energy left but for a cut eyelid Lewis' career wouldn't have ended on a high note.

 

Easy answer Lennox is a true champion ATG Klit fans wishthe Klits were more like Lennox.
