You forgot to mention that Lennox ducked Chris Byrd like the plague. Lennox knew that a slick black American in his prime would make him look really bad.

There are times when I look at this forum and I cannot believe what I am reading and this is one of those times.
W.Klitchko could only dream of the resume that Lewis has, Wlad could carry on fighting tomato cans for the next 20 years KO them all in the 1st round and his resume would still not even get close.
Byrd was a good fighter but sayingit's a better win than Holyfield or Ruddock or Morrison hell even that version of Tyson he beat would beat Bryd.

King was simply in a rush to finalize Byrd/Holyfield for the vacated IBF belt for the Decemeber Date HBO left open for Lewis/Byrd.

Holyfield is the only fighter that really stands out as being a better win, at least in regards to his name and standing at the time. Though Byrd would go on to beat a version of Holyfield who wasn't that much worse so the OP has a point, between the Lewis fights, Holyfield was being badly outboxed by an out of shape Moorer before suckering him into a brawl and fighting on even terms with Ruiz. Holyfield even admited to ducking Byrd until he had no choice but to fight him for the vacated IBF title
