What is the point in that. Neither has done anything to deserve a title shot and they are relative novices.

Nothing to gain for Wlad. And, to be honest, it's such as easy fight, there isn't even anything to lose. Because he won't be losing.

Chisora/Fury don't stand a chance.

 

To be honest I've never read a bigger load of bollocks in my life...

None of those fights grab the attention and, although both would get battered, a fight against the winner of Fury/Chisora is far more exciting...

 

This has to be some sort of sick joke

 

The main problem with the heavyweight division (apart from the lack of real quality) is that nobody seems to have any ambition. Most challengers to the Klits don't seem interested in fighting each other, all they do is garnish their padded records to the point that somebody can negotiate a title shot. The heavyweight championship has become a procession of exhibition bouts. The only excitement we get in these challenges is if somebody dares land a clean punch on one of the Klits. It's a farce.

These 2nd rate fighters shouldn't be allowed to simply line up to get their shot, they should have to fight each other in something like the Super 6, or Prizefighter. At lkeast this way we can seperate at least some of the men from the boys.

At least Fury and Chisora are prepared to put their reputations and records on the line, and for that alone the winner deserves a shot at a Klit above ther other wannabes.

 

Styles make fights and all that, but Helenius was dominated by Haye in sparring. If that's anything to go by, Helenius would be one of Wlad's easiest ever fights.

Mandatories are going to be a huge problem, seems that the same fighters keep getting the shots are the titles or eliminations, Austin for example. However, if Vlad were to fight more often, fighting the bum mandatories, it would still be impressive, he would keep getting knockouts, be exciting, keep his name and face on TV and force a mega-fight, which would come along before he retires. Fighting often takes the place of not having the big names, Joe Louis had the "bum of the month club" for example...............

 

Seeing Wlad fight this often sounds great, but there's not enough decent challengers out there to make it entertaining. It's not his job to seperate the rubbish from the reasonable, he should only be fighting the very best of the rest.

Anyway, I would say Wlad already totally dominates the division. Haye was supposed to be the only real risky fight for him, and he barely broke sweat. I know Vitaly is still very much on the scene, but all he does really is help his brother out with the workload.

To have Wlad fighting 6-8 times a year would actually harm the heavyweight division in my opinion. Potential challengers wouldn't need to earn a shot, they would just need to pad their records enough to get their names on the list.
