Anybody here in WA attend the first session held on the 26th? Any big changes or much more of the same. Should be interesting to see what changes have been made. Some of the contests over the last couple of years here have been organized fairly shoddily. I wonder if changes are to make contests harder to get compliance for re; medical checks etc... WA Commission has been a worry ever since Darren Von Bergheim moved to another PS department (2008 I think?). Since then, it's been a revolving door (friends of friends within the industry - girl/boy friends) heading the department & mostly on casual basis - Doubt any of them were familiar with legislation & its rules & regulations. e.g They would seek a clearance form either NZNBF or NZPBA, but were unaware that didn't mean their medical & bloods were up to date. In NZ medical = How do you feel (pre-fight) & none have ever had a blood test if they haven't fought in OZ.
