Povetkin was a talent that has been mentally destroyed and had his career derailed by Atlas, fighting tomato cans and having illegal warehouse fights....looking unimpressive all the while.

Sparing with him doesn't mean so much at this point.

I agree with most of what you say, and I know Atlas is a scum-breathed-cocksucker from way back. I never heard of him being involved in Kobovez death though. I know he delayed guys career, but have never heard of him having anything to do with the murder.

By the way, is Atlas back to training Povetkin? Two weeks ago in interview he said he wasn't going to work with him.

Don´t write him off yet. Atlas´ patient approach may prove a lot of people wrong. Had Povetkin faced Wlad last year, he would have been a sacrificial lamb, even though I know a lot of people wanted that fight.

In that latest pic, Povetkin seems to be in fantastic career best shape (he used to be a little chubby looking) so at least he´s been keeping himself busy. I think Povetkin will explode once again on the scene very soon.

Sparring with Povetkin is actually quite meaningful for a fighter with such a low profile like Wach. If he really did do well in there, against a guy who´s perceived as being more skilled, more experienced and much quicker , it will give him loads of confidence. Like I said, I would prefer to see a video of that sparring or to at least hear Atlas´ opinion, rather than just relying on Wach´s word.
