At least Wach will only mention the Klitschko's from time to time , not bringing them up every 15 minutes like British heavyweights.
I saw a bit of the last Fury fight. Not impressed at all. And what the hell kinda name is Tyson Fury!?
Absolutely. I think Wach should start looking to hit up some gatekeepers like Rahman, Peter, McCall. If he added those wins to his resume by next summer, why not, he'd then have a better resume than some of Wlad's contenders. Helenius is on the FAST track, having already beaten two recent former titlists, and looks to make and impression by taking out Liahkovich this month. Wach need to seriously look at the direction in which RObbe is heading, and take notes. McBride is a start, and he beat him as bad as I'd ever seen him beaten. Looked slow, but don't they all in those grainy downloads. I'm sure McBride didn't think there was anything slow about him. I'll say this for Wach....... He's definitely looking like a a future contender, now let's see if his team will take the risky fights to get him into contention, or if he'll go the Boystov way and continue making fights with journeymen and C fighters.
He seems hungry & excited about the possibility to make millions & challenge for a HW title. Did you read what he said? He feels he is becoming a "Dangerous Fighter". Thats a good way of thinking about yourself in the ring. :!:
I am pretty sure he is an Irish traveler/gypsy. They seem to have an almost intrinsic love of fighting (boxing). I recall reading that his dad was a big Tyson fan, soooooo...THE NAME! Fury was one of the U.K. Heavyweights who seems to bring up the Klitschko's every time he opens his mouth.
Wlad's next three fights are basically set. Arreola Thompson/Chambers Povetkin/Chagaev So early 2013 is the closest timeframe for someone to emerge as a legitimate contender.
Lots of good points!:good I was like "Holy Crap" the way he bombed out KM. It didn't matter that Kevin was 300lbs. That one single blow put him out on a stretcher! When was the last time you saw a HW carried out of the ring? Fat bum or whatever, it still takes a terrific shot the drop someone like a sack of potatoes. I sure hope they don't drag their feet with him. Like Pummler said, lets see what he does with 4 top 20 HW's. If he plows through them, we'll really have something to get excited about next summer. Wlad fighting someone BIGGER than he is! And it won't be Tyson Fury!
I agree, and Fury admits he's not ready or even thinking about Wlad, which translates to......"I'm 22, he's 35....I can wait for 5 years and get it in a paper match" If Wahc adds even 3 top 20s to his resume by next summer, I'd give him as good a shot as anyone of beating a Klitschko, but if I'm him, and Vitali is still fighting, that's the brother I try to get it with.
Lets' get it on! Both are hungry for a shot, and both have massive power. which most fight fans agree is a guy's only chance against Wlad. That win, with two more against C+ top 20 guys propels him into a title shot. I would PPV to see this fight.:scaredas:
Wach is just too slow, imo. He doesn't beat Haye, Chambers, Thompson, Peter (at least not the version Wlad fought), or Arreola...among others. But, Wach is a fighter I will follow, he did put himself "on the map" for me.
