Wach is an ok opponent due to his size and record, but nothing special at all. When Wlad's career is examined in the future this fight won't get much attention. Thats unless Wach goes on to do some big things after this fight but I don't think that happens.

The only benefits to Wlad will be it will increase his number of defenses and people can point to this as an example of Wlad, obviously, being able to win with more than just his size.

One upside to this fight is that it buys time for some of the younger heavies to get another fight or two in before they get a shot at Wlad.

The thing I really dislike about this fight is that its the third straight fight in a row where there's little to no interst in who Wlad is fighting. This is one of the weakest stretches of fights for Wlad in years.

when Arreola wins the WBC that Suleiman has reserved for him, he will do what Povetkin is doing now, holding on to it as long as he can

first Mexican HW champion, there's a reason Suleiman has forbidden WBC titleholders unification fights

WBC 'title' would mean nothing for a beltholder refusing to fight Wlad. With Vitali gone, the younger Klitschko will be proclaimed the undisputed champion, with or without the WBC strap.

You missed 5. He's not actually good

 seriously though, he's not a a good opponent but his probably the best that Wlad can get right now.

Jack I actually agree with you one loss against a champion is not going to kill a career. If Wach loses and puts up a decent fight/effort he can still go on and fight again later down the line. Wish Wilder, Mitchell, Fury, and Price had this attitude.

    Exactly..

And out of what else is out there and who is willing to fight Wlad, that has not already been recently beaten................., who would be better than Wach?

There are only so many opponents to choose from and most everyone has already been thrashed or wont' fight Wlad.

He's the worst guy wlad has faced since winning the championship against byrd.

Wholly untested and unranked. Maybe he'll come good in the future and it'll look like a good victory in hindsight (like sanchez against nelson etc) but right now it is a **** fight and that shouldn't be denied.
