Wlad rarely throws body punches....doesn't work the body at all. No surprising that Wach thinks hooks to the liver hurt more than a jab to the chin.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2r6xb6INKY Round 7 40 sec left, great combo of 6 punches. Show me where Povetkin throw more. Dont need to tell about round 8, there was plenty of combo there as well. But you are blind like always.
Was suprised how strong Povetkin was, seemed to have no problems handling the size of Wach, and pushed him back numerous times. I didnt think he'd dominate in that manner. Thought he'd jab and run.
I would love to see a rematch between Wlad and Povetkin. This time I am not so sure anymore if I put my money on Wlad.Povetkin has improved a lot since he lost to Wlad. A decent ref and the new version of Povetkin change the game IMO.
It's evident he was way more hurt in the Wlad fight- at moments he was really close to be stopped, and you can compare the sound of the punches and the stats between the two fights. Wlad was twitching his head back two foots with single straights, Povetkin didn't do that with overhands. But i have no doubts Povetkin's bodyshots hurt him a lot, and if Wlad threw some he would have stopped Wach. Unfortunately Steward made him a head hunter only, and for good reasons, but it has its drawbacks.
On the other hand, i was surprised at how weak and lame Wach was- no movement, either with foot, torso or head, no workrate, no accuracy. Totally out of shape, and that contributed a lot. People are starting to overrate Povetkin, while he just did what he had to do against limited opposition his last 4 fights.
He has improved a lot since then and beaten very good opposition in the meantime.Without a doubt he is the nr.2 at heavy weight right now. There is no more worthy challenger out there for Wlad. Thats why a lot of people would like to watch a rematch between them.
