I don't understand why so many people have trouble believing this.

    1. Wladimir has been in great shape since his teenage years.

    2. He trains hard and takes care of his body. He doesn't blow up like Arreola, or Toney between fights.

    3. Muscle memory. 20+ years of training will do awesome things for a persons muscle memory.

    4. Refined training. While Wlad has always been in good shape (see #1), he's learned the proper way to train over the last 8 or so years.

    5. It's his JOB. It's not like Wladimir works a 9-5 desk job.

It's sad really. Using steroids and trying to use a glove without padding is a terrible thing to do in a high risk full contact sport like boxing.

Fortunately Vitali noticed the lack of padding, and the champ barely got hit. How Wach and his team had any hopes of getting away with something like that considering the experience of Team Klitschko, is beyond me.

For want of a better expression, it's definitely a positive in the long run that more fighters are testing positive. It at least proves that the testing procedures are improving, and also helps break the ******ed misconception that PEDs are of little benefit in boxing.

Whether it's the majority or just a significant minority, many fighters have been cheating the system for years. What needs to happen now is proper deterrents to discourage cheating, and if logistically possible more out of competition testing.

It's virtually impossible to eradicate PEDs, but more robust testing can help to moderate usage and maintain something resembling a level playing field.

Only one East German athlete ever tested positive. Barry Bonds, Marion Jones et al never failed a test.

Bigger, stronger & faster than ever at 37. Excessive vascularity, repeated injuries & kidney problems.

It doesnt look good or natural :-(

And now everyone will become an expert on PED's.

Wladimir and Vitali are obviously using too, but Wach is a disgrace to our sport regardless.

Hope the polish zombie gets banned.

Unbelievable. Why wasn´t it mentioned before the fight? I saw a video Vitali controlling the gloves. But RTL did not mention it.

Yep. With dedication and time his physique could easily be acheived without PEDs. He's what, 6'6" or 6'7" and 245lbs? That is not massive. He is athletic, muscular and conditioned, not huge. Maybe huge in the eyes of fans in the sense that he is well conditioned all the time, and tall, in this current trend of tubby heavies and blown up cruisers. There will always be suspicion though. The east german athletic programs have been famous for doping under the radar, especially at the olympic level. They beat the basic test through administering epitestosterone to keep the ratios in the acceptable range between test and epitest. In the range, pass the test, even if elevated. They also have had the reputation for using oral turinabol extensively, although mostly connected to weightlifting programs.

wlad has looked like this for a LONG TIME, it's not like he just bulked up and starting to look like this of nowhere. Also Wlads physique is very possible to achieve without the use of steroids/PED's etc, just requires a lot of hard work.
