Klitscko couldn't stop Wach and therefore I have doubts about Povetkin doing it either. Both men are roughly the same age with Wach have the size advantage and Povetkin being more skilled. Alexander's resume is what should make him the favorite but this is no given at all.
It's his stoppage of Christian Hammer. That kind of shows you where is as a threat in comparison to Tyson Fury. That's probably Fury's 5th best win.
Exactly. He'd easily make it to top5 as one of the most overrated fighters here. He's good for a stay busy fight though.
He is actually. There're people here who think this is a "stupid risk to take" for a stay busy fight. And you can find many people who'd claim he'd KTFO Wilder and Fury.
If we are going by that scale in this era....keep waiting...Who has Anthony Joshua beat in his short career? Would you bet anyone can beat him not named Klitchko? I wouldn't...the rest have not really fought one another....This guy went 12 rounds with wlad in a more brutal fight than anyone did. At 6'8 260 former polish champ ,massive amatuer experience like povetkingood basic punches and experience equals danger! Povetkin IS the better fighter, howver how does that stack up against size and skill...and anyone who thinks Wach doesn't have skill doesn't study him,i have! This could go either way for either guy one round or twelve rounds, very intriguing match. The sole exception to who fought who is fury fighting Wlad because Wlad has the experience in big guys...fury does not...and hes WLAD!
Trust me, Joshua's resume is no worse than Wach and he's yet a prospect. You can check out the resumes of top20 HWs and most of them beat at least one fellow contender. Wach never beaten anyone higher than journeyman level except Christian Hammer who's not really any good right now and was very green back than.
Lol why is this fight only 3* rated on Boxrec. Easily a 4 or even 5 * rated fight between todays #1 heavyweight and a top-15 contender.
#1 HW? You mean hw contender I hope? And not too many would rank Wach in the top 15. Those who do or come close to it (and I'd probably put him in the top 20) do so based solely based on his size, chin, and ability to soak up tons of punishment from Wlad. Certainly not on who he's beaten. Boxrec ranks him low because his few marginally decent victories came many years ago and you lose points for that under their formula. Justly so, but it sometimes leads to a fighter being ranked lower than they should be. Its a clearly a better fight than would show up on boxrec for those reasons.
