Not too many times we are on the same side of an argument, but this guy is an idiot. Or a troll. Most likely both. :yep

People say the same about Kelly since he 'didn't use' two pounds in the Taylor rematch. He has said repeatedly, the last 5 pounds are the hardest.

Years ago Joe may have been able to make 160. If he tried that at 36 years of age Pavlik would treat him worse than Shaun George treated Chris Byrd!

Joe is a 36 year old man with the much slower metabolism which
is a natural part of early middle-age. It would be impossible for him
to lose that much weight to fight at the 160lb. middleweight limit
at his age. The operative two words in your post is "high school"
when you lost so much weight quickly. I did too when wrestling.
Joe is a middleaged but still highly skilled boxer at 36 and in no way
could he lose much weight now. He would be eating into his muscle
mass. He will in all likelyhood gain some weight and hopefully strength
and reek havoc at light heavy. He already made Hopkins his *****
and will destroy all comers at that division. He has Sugar Ray Leonard
skills, discipline and speed. An awesome fighting machine.

Cool, I just didn't have the patience to read through all the posts
on this thread. I'm a little hair-trigger when it comes to Joe because
this guy has some awesome skills which we will all sorely miss when
he retires, even I suspect his haters. I just rewatched the Kessler
fight and Joe just did a masterclass boxing exhibition on a young
undefeated powerpuncher. The guy is special and if I sense disrespect
I attack. Anyway I like Kelly Pavlik but he should not fight Joe. Kelly
should grow as a fighter and develop his skillset. He could be great
someday but Joe will make a ****** out him if they fight anytime
    soon.

Hey TFFP Im all for any Calzaghe scrap that matches him up with some one capable of putting some leather to his ass! wouldnt you agree?
Tell me, wouldnt it be satisfying to shut up all those detractors and leave no doubt as to the mans greatness by Joe beating Pavlik and then Dawson and retireing a bonafide ATG?

PS and please, no more Joe doesnt need to prove anything anymore madness.

Calzaghe is nowhere near confirmed. Give Pavlik time to fight within his own weight division.
