Wait, why is GGG still P4P #1 on Ring Magazine?

By 'objectively' do you mean from the perspective of a die hard GGG fanboy?

Golovkin took more damage than Jacobs. Besides the knockdown, GGG didn't land many significant power punches at all, he did well with the jab but Jacobs landed the flusher, more damaging power punches in most of the rounds, and landed plenty jabs of his own. GGG wasn't 'forcing the fight', that's just nonsense. Jacobs was letting his hands go and happily engaging. He came to win. 'Forcing the fight' is not a scoring criteria anyway.

Have a look at the RBR thread. Many GGG supporters had Jacobs winning or GGG by a point. At the very least that tells you the fight could have gone either way.

I was just gonna say that. Still his best win by far. **** the judge that scored that fight a draw lol.

Rigo and Walters are also very good dominant performances. Loma #1.

Loma is light years more skilled than ggg and if they were the same size the fight wouldn't even be worth talking about.

Loma can still be hit, and against a proper boxer who can counter-punch as well as lead off on attack, Loma will be very vulnerable.
The thing that makes Lomas opponents look very ordinary is his fast angle changes, and the way he steps in and out of from conventional and southpaw positions to create those angles. He is not a regular boxer, and what he does is something that most other boxers and fighters are just not used to, and so they end up a puzzled mess like Rigo did. is he P4P worthy? yes....is he number 1? maybe. P4P is only an opinion held by good or bad thinkers that can not be proven one way or the other :)

No from the perspective of someone that just watches the fight and understands how to score a bout lmao.

Golovkin did not take more damage. At all. When was Golovkin spitting up blood? When was Golovkin visibly hurt? When did Golovkin get knocked down? GOLOVKIN'S BODY TOOK MORE DAMAGE IN THE BROOK FIGHT!

Thank you. It’s common sense. You can tell his skills would not even translate in bigger weight classes. It’s just poor agenda by the same people. Unfortunately even Dan Rafael has started speaking out on Team Golovkin. Nobody is buying this nonsense other than fanboys. He does not in no way, shape or form meet p4p #1 criteria at all.

Golovkin, Loma and Bud are standouts now.

I reckon Mikey Garcia is on that level as well. And as much as I don't think he's on that level, Rungvisai has proven himself to be so.

Golovkin is the most consistent of those listed so I see why some have him number 1. Crawford has achieved the most as he's unified two divisions now. Loma is probably the best actual fighter but he hasn't quite proven it yet imo.

If he beats Linares I think it will be hard for anyone to argue against him, then again Golovkin could beat Saunders and we'd say the same and Crawford could beat Spence and we'd say the same as well.

    Very tight up top.
