Wait, why is GGG still P4P #1 on Ring Magazine?

Ring p4p ratings tend to reward fighters for past dominance. Right now Loma and Crawford are clearly operating on a higher p4p level. I'd argue that even someone like Usyk IMHO. But because Golovkin's been around for longer, and perhaps also because they want to put Canelo #1 there if he manages to beat Golovkin next time, RING has Golovkin as #1. Pac stayed in the top p4p lists far longer than his actual ability too.

The other thing is that there is no clear #1, whoever you choose can be criticized quite effectively:

Loma - clearly the most skilled IMO, but has a loss, missing a signature win over a top p4p opponent.
Crawford - undisputed and unbeaten, but: missing a signature win over a top p4p opponent, always larger than his opponents which some consider should be accounted for in p4p lists.
GGG - not operating on as high a level as the other two, but most thought he beat Canelo ...

    Srisaket is #1.

Disagree and you are fighting quite an uphill battle in the debate that follows.

So much so that I don't have to rationalize having Srisaket #1. YOU have to rationalize having anyone else #1.
