Gomez was taking head shots like crazy, but I just know that stoppage will get bitter, bitter complaints from Gomez and the Khan detractors.

Fun fight. Khan may not be elite but he does have exciting fights, and there are worse things to be than a lightweight Tommy Morrison type.

He made hard work of a fighter at the end of his career. There is no way he's ready for the big boys yet, but that was an exciting fight.

Hell of a fight, one of the best this year. Bull**** stoppage, Gomez is too experienced and got too much heart to get stopped by ref like this.

 

Agreed, Pac would beat him bad and I thought that was a silly suggestion even before this fight.

Like I said earlier, Khan going for the finish in the 2nd was the most major mistake. Gomez still had plenty of fight in him and after he soaked it up he came right back, and then Khan got sucked into a macho slugfest instead.

Khan's fighting again September 6th.
