I never said I think a world title is near but worse things have happened in boxing than Crolla fighting for a world title.He obviously isn't the best option outhere but if he beat Rees which I doubt he will why not.Ricky was given a chance at Martinez without accomplishing much more than a British title and a few domestic wins so what is so bad about Crolla getting a chance.

Can I ask Billy,if Rees and Crolla are not on Ricky's radar then who else is?

Abril and Vasquez are the other champions,then there's guys like Demarco,Beltran,Thompson and Figueroa knocking around too.

Too many Brits on this site want to see Ricky Burns fail, they will deny it, but its obvious. It grinds on their nerves that Ricky keeps proving them wrong.

Gonzalez didnt have a champions heart, Ricky has, and thats why he won. I think Ricky would've stopped Gonalez if he didnt quit on his stool. Im not buying the arm excuse, the guy clearly had nothing left in the tank, his corner rubbing his legs and trying to motivate him to get up etc. Even Gonzalez countrymen were not happy with the way he quit.

Got to be a top 10 followed by a unification fight. Would be disappointed if its a domestic fight as he has proved he is better than that. It's the domestic **** ****** was pushing for with his own fighters.

I'm a big Crolla fan and as much as I like Burns too would have to support Anthony were this to happen.

That being said, it's a one-sided fight. Don't see the attraction in it for Burns. There are many other fights at lightweight and perhaps even at light-welter that I would like to see Burns in.

Crolla is a strong domestic fighter, not sure if he is built for lightweight, hence the reason I feel Burns would tear him apart...and it hurts me a bit to say that.

 

Fair play to Billy, least he's not doing what sky is and making out Crolla to be a world title contender when he's not even the best at domestic level.
