To be fair, Hatton got nailed by Paq with a shot that would have kayoed a horse. Previously Ricky got hit flush by Tzyu, who was no powderpuff, with no apparent effects, among others. Hatton was never hard to nail, but it was pretty difficult to discourage him.
If Floyd ever had the balls to fight Paq, instead of just talking smack , and smacking women, he might have suffered the same fate.

Aren't you the guy who just made a thread trying to deny that Khan had a glass jaw?

    :rofl:rofl:rofl

yeah, that's why Khan was getting sent to the canvas in the amateurs and decked by light-hitters like Limond and Gomez, right? :patsch

You don't have a lot of credibility on this issue. Khan's chin isn't just china, it's Grade AAA china!!!!!!!

What the hell is it with you?

Youll spend 15,000 posts sucking off guys like Charlie Z, who dont put .01% of himself or his life into this beautiful sport, quits in his only fight, and the list is pretty much endless when it comes to that piece of work,

and your other 15,000 posts (ok maybe 10,000, the other 5k are on various ways to destroy america, freedom, individial rights and white people) are slagging off actual champions, and men who have dedicated their life to the sport, and put their life on the line time in and time out, and your fascination is that their punch resistence isnt as good as some other fighters, and your harp on it again and again, gushing over it like some infant, disrespectful ignorant tool. The fact that you are a 'teacher' never ceases to amaze me.

and all the while rushing like a girlfriend to charlies defence anytime someone levels critism his way.

What kind of boxing fan is that?

Ah, an ad hominem attack, how predictable. I've been a boxing fan since before you were shitting in your diapers kiddo, so let's get real here. Punch resistance is THE most critical variable in the fight game. If you can't take a punch, for the most part, you aren't gonna last long in this sport.

GLASS JAWS EXIST IN BOXING!!!! Wake UP. Some of your heroes have shaky chins!

In other words, if someone takes a clean shot on the jaw by a prime Tyson, you're considered a glass jawed person. :-(

Depends on the history. Surely you wouldn't deny that Carl "the Truth" Williams or Frank Bruno had glass jaws, would you? They were KD'd and or knocked out multiple times!

And yes, you were my inspiration. If ONE poster thinks Khan doesn't have a glass jaw, then I and my colleagues have not finished our work. Boxing fans MUST be educated about the importance of punch resistance!

Perhaps, but surely Jones had a really good chin before getting caught with that hook with Tarver.

    amazing :-(

and ad hominem? riiiiight.... whatever you say there teach'.

Fact is you spend countless hours bashing on legit fighters who have risen to the top ranks of the sport, on something that cant be helped, like punch resistance (it would be one thing if it was their attitude, their work ethic, their discipline, ect....

and then on the other side of that count, spend countless hours defending a lowlife like Charlie against people criticising him about his boxing ability.

I guess I'm not surprised that you cant see the stupidity in that.

Some of my heroes have shaky chins? Do you think i give a ****?:patsch Only a fickle, worthless fan goes about rating his fav fighters, and a fighters worth, based off his ability to take a punch.

Hard to say. It's possible. It's also possible that his skills were so out of this world that his chin was never tested. A prime Roy is probably the most NATURALLY talented fighter who ever participated in the sport.

But yeah, it's possible that his punch resistance just went south, quickly. It happens.

i was thinking about this the other day watching emile griffiths movie then going a watching griffith/carter. he got destroyed in a first round knockdown, dropped in his career (dropped HARD by paret in the 2nd fight) and taken apart and stopped by monzon. he typically is described as having a concrete jaw, except for a few instances (notably against bigger fighters). thoughts?

No doubt khan has a weak chin, there where early signs of this well before he got knocked out by prescott. Getting knocked down by old fighters and avoiding fighters with high knockout rates.

However Hatton had a chin. He was just destroyed against pac and may. Those flush shots could have rocked anyone. I mean floyd was rocked against shane but showed the composure and sence needed to recover. If he hadnt he may have been knocked out. That doesnt mean he has a weak chin.

you might have been a boxing 'fan' but you never understood the sport if you think posting one example by video condemns a fighter.

people who talk in condescending tones over a boxing board like you did to this guy (who was questioning where you were coming from but you couldn't reply to him directly), are more often than not internet warriors looking to get their rocks off online - like nallege and anglosaxon.

it wouldn't surprise me if you're one or both of them....

you might have been a boxing 'fan' since he was "shitting in his diapers", but i bet i've been fighting longer than you've been pretending to be a fan of the sport.

if you want to come on a boxing board, talk to people.
if you lack the self-confidence to back up the point you're making and have to resort to petty name calling, then go find out what this sport is really about - because when you do you won't feel the need to react like a little child when someone challenges you.
