Now I've really heard it all.

Ottke is possibly one of the most least respected former champions of this era. The guy is rubbished on EVERY boxing forum, and I guarantee you if you put a poll up on ESB right now, 99% of people will vote that the guy was a FRAUD. The guy never left his backyard and was basically a protected fighter his entire career. And lets not mention the plethora of "gift" decisions and robberies he has been involved in. Watch this clip showing a common theme in an Ottke fight, and a perfect example of a ref being paid off (and another reason that I believe no fighter should go to Germany):

So Kessler ducked Mundine did he?? Now that's a novel one. That could possibly be the dumbest thing I've read on ESB and believe me I've seen it all. Big decision for Kess after the Mundine fight . . . After beating a guy he throughly dominated he should be giving the guy an immediate rematch, . . . . as opposed to going on and unifying the division and put himself up for a huge payday against Calzaghe . . . . yep tough one there.

Kessler tries to stop Mundine again
    Jamie Pandaram
    April 5, 2008

ANTHONY MUNDINE'S world title defence against Sam Soliman next month could be in jeopardy, with the WBA set to decide this weekend whether to allow the bout to proceed or force Mundine to fight Danish rival Mikkel Kessler.

The Danish fighter's management has approached the governing body urging them to scrap Mundine-Soliman III on May 28 at Melbourne's Vodafone Arena, because Kessler is the mandatory challenger for the WBA super-middleweight title.

"Mundine won a vacant title in March 2007 and has now gone 13 months without making a required mandatory defence," Kessler's promoter Mogens Palle said. "We have asserted our rights and told the WBA we're ready to make Kessler-Mundine II a reality in the end of May or the start of June. I would hope Mundine would prefer to try Kessler again rather than having his world title stripped for not complying with WBA rules.

"He does refer to himself as 'The Man' so I would really hope so. It's a WBA world title and is not limited to a WBA Australian title."

WBA executive vice-president, Gilberto Jesus Mendoza, told the Herald from Panama yesterday: "There is still a chance the Soliman fight will happen. We have not yet defined what needs to be done."

Rumours have also surfaced that this challenge is a bluff, and in fact Kessler intends to move up in weight to challenge Argentina's Hugo Garay for the WBA light-heavyweight title vacated by retired Australian Danny Green.

Kessler, the former WBA champion, defeated Mundine in 2005 to retain the belt and was elevated to super champion status after knocking out German Markus Beyer for the WBC super-middleweight belt the following year. This allowed Mundine (31-3, 23KO) to win an interim version of the title - against Soliman - and after Kessler (39-1, 29KO) lost his first fight last November to Joe Calzaghe, he became the No.1 challenger.

"Mundine is a very tough customer," said Kessler, 29. "He comes to fight and I respect that. I look forward to another rugged match against him now. I think it's fair to say he's a fellow who keeps improving, which is understandable since he switched to boxing after being a big star in [rugby league]. He's not the type to run away from a challenge."

Mundine's manager, Khoder Nasser, indicated it was Kessler who ran from challenges, given the Australian was his mandatory opponent for a lengthy duration of his spell as super champion.

"The reputation of Mogens Palle precedes him, and we were ready to fight Kessler after he beat Beyer and Librado Andrade [in March 2007] but he chose to fight Joe Calzaghe when Anthony was the mandatory," Nasser said.\

"We will await the WBA's decision and then make our play. We will respect their decision. We have a good relationship with them and we are people of of our word. We don't break contracts."

Kessler was slated to fight knockout specialist Edison Miranda but cancelled the bout to chase Mundine's title.

Enough said!!!!! it never happened mundine didnt run Kessler never had any plans of a rematch with mundineand he was the number 1 challenger he should have got that chance!!!

Now **** off the man page haters and closet nut huggers!!
