Title reign wise Louis´was better than Ali´s. I´d put Jeffries and Marciano above Wlad, Tyson and Lewis too. Tyson should be above Lewis.

Ali's combined reigns i thought are better Loui's best wins were before he was champ and alot of bums of the month

    Jeffries get forgotten alot

Dont know if Marcianos is better than Wlads Wlad's is much longer though the Rock did beat Charles and Walcott 2X

Tyson switched with Lewis is ok but I was impressed how Lennox beat em all and reigned into his older years where Tyson was short term

so your interpretation of "wrecking havoc" is taking "The Dragon" Sonoswski 10 rounds to finally tire him out? or his 12 round snooze fest with the kingpin?
for a guy 6 foot 7 and 247 pounds of HAVOC , it took him 9 sloppy rounds to make former cruiserweight and tin heavyweight JC Gomez to quit..he was "wrecking havoc" on us that day for making us sit through that horrible fight... he wrecked a jab on sam peter for 8 rounds before he quit on his stool. where the **** is this guys power man? :rofl see, Tyson was as small as vitali is as big as his opponents....and he was putting guys to sleep for 10 counts.... thats "wrecking havoc"
Mr Bill....you look at the same things other people look at, and see the total opposite . you see a "monster" where we see giant guy who is afraid to mix it up with guys half his size. when you came out of the movie theater after seeing THE DARK KNIGHT....did you think it was based on a true strory? or maybe you thought how great a comedy it was?
"wrecking havoc" thats priceless dude.... :rofl:rofl

I like Jimmy Jeff myself, but Christ, he only has roughly 20 pro fights actually recorded..... Beating smaller dude's like "Fitz & Corbett" concern me there, too.....

Tyson is a great one shot guy yes...and Vitali is a great volume puncher very dynamic Wlad is the one shot KO artist most of his fights go 8 or more he has a high KO percentage and hits hard usually has foes intimidated and in his palm after 2 rounds Tyson and Vitali are just way different fighters in their own respects. Vitali is a great what if a great athlete intelligent great shape well schooled and hard hitting. If it were not for the 4 year retirement he could have made some noise

Nah, Ali´s reigns don´t include wins like Foreman but losses like Spinks. Louis´never happened things like that and Louis beat Schmeling, Walcott 2x,, Conn 2x. Factor in the number of defences and Louis´trumps Ali´s.

Yep, but he should be up there. Fitz, Corbett 2x, Ruhlin, Sharkey. Quality.

Wlad had one defence since he won the championship. A win against Chambers. Before he was a beltholder but not the champ. He bacame the champ by beating Chagaev. Marciano´s reing trumps that easily.

Lewis won the title against Holyfield the second time. The only impressive win during his reign was Vitali. Not that impressive.

Ali's reign as champ SMOKES Louis' reign....... The quality of opposition ain't even close...... Ali reign's supreme there.......

No, reign does not include title winning affairs. Look at who he beat during his reings. No better than Louis but much less defences and he has losses during his reings. Like Spinks. Louis does not.

I guess your right about the champ vs belt holder thing never took that into consideration but matching now to then you have to but I think Wlad had universal recognition since Byrd and that has always been more inportant then the title itself is being recognized so Wlad still has had quite a time on top

    Lennox you are right

and good points regarding Ali Louis

    all that is true
but you blow waaaayyyy out of proportion that this guy is some kind of wrecking machine..... if you ask me, he should be wrecking everyone about 6 rounds earlier in every fight because of his overwhelming size advantages and his strength.......and considering the KO of Sonowski was the ONLY the 2nd knockout in 10 YEARS (where they count to 10 )....his power is overrated by miles

I wonder what kind of chance Solis has against him. It seems that Solis is the front runner to fight Vitali now. That would be interesting.

Here's my current HW ATG list:

    #1 Ali
    #2 Valuev
    #3 Haye
    #4 Liston
    #5 Louis
    #6 Ruiz
    #7 McCline
    #8 Foreman
    #9 Frazier
    #10 Briggs

Sorry I don't see how Vitali is top 10 material just yet.

Maybe if he battled ATG Valuev, but otherwise I see his record littered largely with no name opponents. Plus Vitali ducked a whole generation of HW ATGs in Briggs, Ruiz and McCline.

Solis has the skill and power to take him but I think his lack of dedication, his shape and stamina will betray him.

Both K brothers deserve AT consideration.
They arrived at a time the division was solid, Lewis was 34, and looked to be the best, and Vitali was destroying him 5 to 1 on my card, and the cut looked like it was just after a butt. Lewis cornrows are like sandpaper, and have cut other fighters in similar fashion. He sent Lewis running for the HBO table. Then he went on to beat every guy that looked eligible for a title shot.
On the Vlad side, people need to cut him some slack. For all his weaknesses his chin is solid as anyones. Reexamine the Purrity loss. Vlad was wasted by the 10th, and when Purrity pressured him, he choked, rather than defend. I call that lack of experience.

When you look at the beatdown by Sanders, Vlad was dry, not warmed up, and overly confident against a guy that could KO KINGKONG will a str8 L. I chalk that loss up to getting caught.
The Brewster fight was joke, and anyone who denies foul play is deaf dumb and blind. A quick look at the rematch will prove the better man. Vlad was beating Brewster 4 to 1 when the poison kicked in. In the second fight the true Brewster showed up, and it showed. I'd say security was in full force that second night.

Of all the ATG's, each had 2,3 contenders to deal with during their careers. Even more in some cases. The K brothers have gone through the last generation, and mopped them. Then when a new group formed theyre now mopping them.

Each generation has their fringe contenders that get title shots, and get beat down. This generation of HWs looks soooooooo bad because the K brothers are soooooooooo good.
