Pick Walcott for a decision and fun fight. When both at their best. Really good matchup. I’d pick Holy over some good fighters but the tricky ones imo will always give him a hard time (Moorer Byrd Tooney Qawi).

I wanted to pick Holyfield at first because I regard him as the better fighter, but the more I think about it the less of a chance he has.

Walcott boxes to a decision and avoids any brawls. Holyfield can't break a man down like Marciano nor can he punch like Louis. Too many tricks in the bag for Holyfield, who'd probably win the rematch

Holyfield was a brilliant rhythmic boxer, and of course tough as **** and willing to trade alongside his superb skill set. He is also the more consistent fighter throughout the majority of a bout, and can deal with Walcott skill-wise, following his feet and adjusting to Walcott's brilliant but inconsistent counter punching.
Holyfield also had superior stamina, and never played or pawed with his opponent.

I see Holyfield beautifully timing left hooks and body punches throughout Walcott's 'cake walks', working consistently to achieve a UD or a possible later stoppage victory. Frankly, I'd see Walcott doing less and less as the bout went on, with his success coming mostly early on in the fight.

I see Jersey Joe Walcott winning this one by unanimous decision of this classic match up of all time greats. Evander Holyfield does box beautifully, and hits extremely hard, but Joe is very tricky with his style, angles. He can also take a punch, he was defeating undefeated Rocky Marciano, on points,on the night of Sept 23 1952, until he was caught by a Suzi-Q right hand by Rocky, in round 13, and was kayoed. Evander is a great combination puncher, as seen in his war against Dwight Muhammad Qwai, in 1986. Joe and Evander trade evenly at times, but the edge goes to Joe. Neither fighter suffers a knockdown, it looks like a chess match in the ring, as these fighters are great.

I favor Walcott over the CW Holyfield. North of CW I favor the Real Deal.

So is Walcott allowed to use the same PED's as Evan Fields ?

Same lab or better ? Can both have a Mr Olympia in their corner ? Lets say Haney vs Yates ?

Footnote : If Holyfield cannot take the Pensioner version of Walcott who fought the Italian Stallion he better hang them up right there.

Footnote 2: Somebody mentioned that Holyfield hits "extremely" hard...........negative, he is not a banger at Cruiser or Heavy, never was never will be......anybody with a pulse would have starched the Douglas version that night, threw the entire kitchen sink at a washed up Tyson and only got a standing 11th hour TKO.....could not keep glass cannon Moorer on the mat who a ancient Foreman and the One trick Pony tua waxed with one shot.

I'd rather have Yates' training partner than Yates himself. Those pirate screams are anabolic as ****, the equivalent to taking any amount of roids
