I think that Quarry's tendency to cut, bleed, and often fold when in with the absolute elite would be his undoing here. Walcott's technical punching ability, footwork, and long term stamina has my vote to break down Quarry sometime in the mid rounds.

Walcott by TKO somewhere between rounds 7-9.

Walcott, by convincing decision. Simply put, Quarry as a boxer was not skilled enough to deal with Walcott, and as a brawler he wasn't strong enough to overwhelm him.

I think I side with Pontius view here. Quarry was lights out against big sluggers, but against fast slick boxers, that was his undoing.

I pick Walcott for the same reasons as everybody else.

Elmer Ray managed to split a series with Walcott and Rex Lanne beat him but those guys aplied more pressure than Quarry.

Ray was also built differently than quarry. Ray was 6'2 with 82" reach, rare breed of tools for a punching swarmer

Quarry was tough and game, but he'd be out-classed and TKO'd by Walcott........ A great fight---while it lasts......:D

That's what I was going to say! Jerry was hell on wheels with big guys, not so much with clever, fast guys.

Best heavweight never to hold the title, and WAY better than some who did.

Walcott was too fast. Look at the ali quarry fight. Ref stops it midway thru for walcott.
