This is little unfair competition..if those another beltholders are even 10 % their brains left, they never accept the fight wlad:deal Personally, i think wlad fight much more than those 53 fights.
It's a big If. How many has he unified yet after talking about it for however long? He'd be #1 if he beat Chagaev, Ibragimov, Peter, Maskaev and Povetkin in one night blindfolded or lifted a boulder or sprouted wings and flew to the moon. but y'know, that's if.
That's very true. Lewis wasn't truly appreciated until he was gone. I remember winning a lot of money betting on Lewis because evryone thought Tyson & Tua would beat him.
You are a tool to start a thread purely to start junk. That being said, Lennox was the best fighter during the best era of all-time. Yes, I said it. From 1-30, there was not a better era of heavyweights than the 1990's. Period. So, Wlad would easily be an ATG, which I think he will be, but he won't catch Lennox.
Wladimir Klitschko already beat Bowe's resumé a long time ago. Lennox Lewis was TKO'd twice remember? He can do quite a bit better than top 20 if he unifies and beats such up & coming prospects as Povetkin, Solis, Haye, etc. Especially if those same guys go on to do big things themselves. He could also beat such old timers as Tua, Rahman, etc. I still don't think he'll quite make it to Lennox's ATG rating though but Wlad could make the top 10. He's only like 30 or 31 right?
You need to go back over Bowe's resume again. Wlad surpassed him awhile ago. Bowe beat very, very few good heavyweights.
Bowe has beat a great heavywieght in his prime, Evander Holyfield. Wlad has never beat a great heavywieght, and has more losses than Bowe against lesser oppenents. I think Bowe is like 41-1, while Wlad is 49-3. I think Wlad is pretty even with Bowe, which I feel is good compliment.
I share your view on LL... and the thread starter is a wind up hater. I also think Wlad has a good chance to become an ATG. In my view Lennox and Wlad are quite comparable. LL had a nifty upprcut that Wlad seems to lack, although he has not needed one lately :yep
Damn brooklyn, that's harsh. You seem like a sensible guy from what I've seen (or recall) from your posts. In the current business and political climate of boxing, Wlad will have a hard time to even have the opportunity at all those fights in the next few years - and close to his prime. Possible, yes. Very likely, not too sure. If he accomplishes the above I'd put him close to LL range and easily within the top 5 What does he need to do to get above top 15, TKO Ali or God in 6??? :huh You can reasonably make the case that LL is #1 h2h. He was #1 in the 90s :deal
True, but I was going by accomplishments. I would have no doubts in my mind that Bowe would put Wlad to sleep inside 6, Bowe was great from the outside and on the inside. Bowes only claim to fame was beating Holyfield in his prime and then knocking him out again a couple years later, Wlad fought and beat more good fighters while Bowe beat a ATG great twice in his prime.
