Chagaev beat Walker legit. Walker is better fighter than Haye. Haye is trying to get out of his mandatory fight with Chagaev.
I just went to boxrec to take a look at his activity after the Wald bout (2 in 14 months) and found out that boxrrec atually dropped him a place after his win over Walker last night! The man clearly is out of shape and aguably past his best, don't think Haye will take the Hep B way out anymore. Don't think it's an act to lure Haye in either.
I thought Chagaev was just about ready to hit the deck once or twice. That's the worst fight I've ever seen with him. He will get one decent last payday against Haye and then he ought to retire, no doubt about it.
Is this really such a surprise, though? Chagaev really hasn't looked the same ever since the long illness layoff in 2008. He just seems a bit more fragile (though not glass or anything, of course) and not so self-confident. He wasn't like the next coming of Ali before 2008, of course, but he definitely doesn't seem quite the boxer he was, these days.
I personaly think chagaev has been way overated, anyone who saw him in with skelton would know that. Haye by tko inside 9 :good
I've attacked people before who predicted an easy Haye TKO, but that position looks foolish now after last night's bout. After seeing Walker land half a dozen straight right hands *WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS* on Chagaev and Chageav looking completely helpless I'll have to go with a very quick and brutal Haye beatdown. Haye TKO within inside 3 rounds. Haye will be able to land his right hands at will with very little risk of being countered himself.
Seriously matt skelton was landing easily enough and he has little boxing skill, a slow marauding fighter who didnt go pro until he was 34. Haye will derstoy chagaev. The only fights i want to see haye in are the two brothers and adamek, these are the only big money fights out there. Also adamek will need to be built up to the none boxing public in britain as i think that would be the best fight out of the three. :good
