As I'm sure you've already seen it, to me, I saw a journeyman get underestimated. I think, Chagaev expected, and easy ko over a guy in Walker, whos every loss (until tonight) came from ko's. Chagaev didn't expect Walker to be determined. Do I think Walker almost KO'd Chagaev? Not really. But I do think the fight was a legit 77-75 type fight. And it really surprises me, because Walker's arsenal is almost exlusively the right hand (literally), and Chagaev just wouldn't/couldn't find a way away from it. And also, it seemed that after every Chagaev explosion (3-6 solid throws) he needed at least a minute or two to recover. But the point of what I'm getting at is, today's Chagaev looked like a shadow of whom delivered Niko's first loss.
I wouldn't get all worked up. This was an 8 round fight to get work. I know who Travis Walker is and what he's done. Chagaev isn't a big ko puncher and it actually benefited him to get rounds. Say what you will, Chagaev looked good here, it's not like his hand speed is gone or anything.
