so I see that Walker liked fighting heavyweights and Floyd was a very small heavyweight so he would be within reach of victory

Who likes Mickey's chances of a win?

Mickey walker was very tough and fought through a few weight classes. He was skilled, quick and durable. He managed to win a few heavyweight bouts too. I’d probably have to favor Floyd though. Patterson was also quick and skilled and could punch on top of that. He wasn’t terribly durable but I don’t think Walker had what it took to inflict enough damage to stop him

Thanks. That seems like a realistic scenario

Patterson stops him late. Could actually be a tough fight for Floyd.

When I saw the thread title, I thought it was Floyd Patterson vs. Billy Walker? ;)

Canelo reminds me of Mickey Walker.

Floyd beats him up and stops him around 10

I think this is a more competitive fight, than some people might think, but down to brass tacks.

As a smaller man stepping up to fight a man the size of Patterson, would you really want to pick the one with the fastest hands?

When an opponent is bigger and faster, you have got a big problem.

Floyd stopped Walker in two on October 6, 1952...
