That's what it seems like to Pac's hardcore fans ever since the fight was announced. I'm a fan of Pac, I respect him as a fighter but I'm pulling for Mayweather. I've been seeing a lot of these posters making excuses or trying to soften the blow of a Pac "L" like they just know he's going to lose. There's still a fight to be fought but damn...don't act like you wanted the fight all these years and then when it's finally here you go into B***h mode. You, of all fans, should be happy the fight is here after complaining nonstop that Floyd was scared, coward, etc. Act like you have some cojones (for those to whom it applies). How would Pac feel about you doubting him like this?

I WHOLLY disagree with your sentiment.

Ive seen FAR MORE OF the EXACT opposite.

Mayweather is the BETTING favorite and RIGHTLY so. He has the better record overall, and while his CV isn't as good, it's damned near equal, except Floyd hasnt had an epic trilogy, let alone several.

Has Pacqioua slowed. Maybe a little. Has his power declined. Sure, a LITTLE. But Mayweather's slowed as well, and his reflexes arent what they once were.

If anything, I see this fight much like the Roy Jones Jr decline for Floyd, and I see him cashing out and essentially telling his fanboys....haha spermburpers.......fooled yall all those yrs.....Pac was ALWAYS the better man, but I had y'all drinking my bunk by the gallon.:yep:yep:yep ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK:deal:deal:deal

Roy never had the sound boxing fundamentals that Floyd has. That's why he declined sharply. Roy's style was dependent on his freakish athletic talent.

Give us a good reason/reasons why the fight is happening now ?

Pacquiao is still with Arum and getting more than $40 M.

According to reports: Freddie Roach goes to the same pizza place as Les Moonves. Credit to Roach: He got in touch with Les and told him to call Bob Arum. Les called Bob, they talked, and they had a meeting. After that, rumors of the fight happening started circulating.

That is how the ball got rolling according to reports. If "Mayweather wasn't on board for the fight," it would have been pointless to waste Bob Arum's time. This idea that Les had to force Mayweather just doesn't hold water when you look at who he had to contact first. Once Bob was on board, it was game on for negotiations.

Why is it happening now? Because the combination of HBO/Showtime allowed a massive amount of money to sweeten the deal for all parties involved. Neither Pac, or Floyd, would have made this type of cash in 2010. Both men are also at the end of their careers: Cash Out Fight.

I would also point out that Bob Arum/Top Rank gave in to what Floyd has been asking for, for years. For all the talk I heard about Mayweather being "forced," he certainly didn't budge off of any of his deal points.

Another good reason? You have boxing coming to CBS and NBC again. You don't think Arum wants to be on good terms with Les for future bouts? You think Al Haymon wants to keep the relationship positive? Absolutely.

Les Moonves was the key figure. He was respected by all parties involved and acted as the mediator. The man isn't getting enough credit for making this happen. Just IMO.

It's the typical cycle and Manny is no exception. Floyd is scared of (fill in the blank) and won't fight them. The fight gets signed and since people know Floyd will most likely win its time to make pre fight excuses and already begin discrediting Floyd before he's even stepped in the ring. It's happened so many times that bogeymen become cherry picks when the fight is signed, sealed and delivered.
