I really liked Fury's performance in the latter half of the fight. He manned up and made things happen even when things were as bad as possible. That was fantastic. Even when Fury lost round 12, it was only after defending his eye and flurrying for the KO for ~8 rounds. It was the first half that disappointed me to no end. Wallin was completely outboxing him even before the cut. That was ****ing terrible and pathetic.
It’s the kind of thing that could damage a career long term, I wasn’t impressed by it personally. Fair enough he did the damage legally but to try gouge the guys face off with those tactics. I’d have no complaint if Wallin was disqualified. Fury’s own fault taking this nothing fight though.
Jeff Horn did the same exact thing to Pac. I think it was in the fourth round. After a break, Horn very blatantly tried to drag the laces of his gloves across Pac's eyes. Wallin should have been deducted a point.
I would have been ok with a disqualification for that. Thats trash and could effect the fight in a major way.
Uh... theres plenty of instances where fighters dont do such a blatant and ***** ass scummy foul as that when their opponent has a bad cut. That was a pure bitchmade move. Simple as. 90% of fighters would do that?... what horse****
There was nothing old school about it. Old school fighters got away with what they did. This idiot did what he did in full view of the public. That's what lit the fire in Fury and made it a one sided fight.
I was surprised that Fury was so nice to him after the fight! He was pissed during the fight when Otto did that, he said something to him... couldn't make it out what it was. does anyone know what Fury said to Wallin?
