No hugging/wrestling/clinching, no rabbit punching just an interesting boxing match from start to finish.

    I appreciated it.

    That is all.

Wallin despite his lack of power could have chinned him if he knew how to fight like a big man and push him back and clinch. Got to use every advantage you have. Can't be letting a glorified midget push you back for 12 rounds as a 250 pound 6'6" heavy. Bowe rolling in his...bed.

Boxed to a gameplan. Simple & easy.

    Now time for Wallin Whyte.

Clinch-free fights, even if they get a bit one-sided are nice. I agree.

    I agree with you!

But there was a low blow, though! And didn't Wallin throw an awkward hammer punch when trying to get rid of Gassiev when he had him staggered? o_O

I was surprised when he couldn't get Gassiev out of there when he had him hurt in... Gosh, what was it, round 8? Seemed like he kinda let him off the hook, but in hindsight it wasn't super surprising. Wallin is kinda lacking in stopping power. He had Fury badly buzzed in round 12 of their fight, but despite landing a few punches flush after that he never really came close to putting him down. Part of that is due to Fury's chin of course, but Wallin just seems to be lacking in the pop department.

Damn shame he's missing that too, cause Wallin is a good boxer. Not great, but he's entertaining enough, and a bit of a bigger punch would make him even more fun to watch. Couple that with his obviously good chin, which he demonstrated from all the times he survived Fury's barrages, and I'd prolly back him against more top guys.

Even without the pop in his punch I back him against Whyte though. Would love to see him get the chance to make that fight.

That fight has already been made, but Whyte came to his senses and pulled out last minute. Doubt we'll see it again.

He landed a monster overhand left on the point of Fury's chin in round 12 which had Fury pretty badly buzzed needing 20 secs to recover. Didn't throw anything like that on gass, no sweeping bodyshots to the body either, but Fury's body is basically head height and massive so makes sense.

That shoulder 'injury' of Whyte's might flare up again if he is matched with Wallin.

That was a damn good punch, and one thrown when he was pretty badly gassed and hurt himself. Outside of the cut Wallin never really came close to beating Fury, but he sure made him earn that W.

Hey now, flare ups in old injuries when faced with genuine challenges is a very real condition, and not something boxers make up when faced with real adversity

Whyte puts it on him and wins on points, he’s got more of a killer than Wallin instinct and actually closes off the ring unlike Gassiev, Wallin doesn’t have the power to hurt Whyte.

Not sure I would not trust Whyte to beat Gassiev, especially on away ground.

Wallin had Gassiev in the Matrix he even hurt Gassiev. Dangerous fight on enemy turf excellent victory for Wallin. That 117-111 was a bad look tho. Hope this win propels Wallin up the rankings a bit.

Well timed 'injury' flare up. I think Whyte would have needed more than his usual dose of the gear to beat Wallin.

Wallin is ranked #8 in the WBO and yet Anderson is ranked #2 some how. Make that fight happen.
Wallin vs Sanchez or Ruiz Jr, are fights I wouldn't mind seeing either.
