The extra weight he was carrying wouldn't have helped Solis' knees.

What does everyone think? Banjo'd by a temple shot or genuinely injured? Was doing well in the first IMO, a real shame. Solis is a waste of potential thus far.

And Rigo decimated Casey There's a surprise.

Please give me a good account of Bute-Magee (similar vein to Rigo-Casey methinks) as I'm watching UFC 128.

Walsh was **** and was level on the cards when he stopped Kays.

Solis lost in the first round. He went down in a weird way from a nothing type of arm punch so there is a lot of conjecture about what took place. Whether he has a chin of glass, whether his knee gave way under the weight and he was genuinely injured, a combination of both, maybe he took a dive. god knows. What we do know is it was an embarrasment.

He's a genuine fan. How many american posters do you know that would give a toss about some obscure brit title fight? There have been some excellent gf posters in the past like Brooklyn 1550 (I think that was his name) who left because the gf has tuned into a sewer.

 

Walsh was just bad to be honest. Like clueless type of bad at times. A lot of the times it looked a bit like Appleby/Laryea but not as bad. But you get the idea, he was struggling with Kays range and jab. Not moving his feet very well to get into range so his work-rate was poor. He hurt him once and then failed to finish him and seemed to blow his load for a few rounds. Anyway eventually he finally put a decent bit of work together and stopped him to the body.

Solis just embarrased boxing really. Don't know what happened don't particularly care.

 

Oh ya and Casey was just outclassed. Nothing much more to say. Stopped in the 1st. Everything Rid threw hurt Casey. Had no answer to the speed and angles, he had no idea where they came from. He was hurt to the body and then tried defending himself downstairs leaving his chin exposed. Rig smelt blood and was in for the kill. He was down and then up, maybe should have been stopped as his legs were shot, but he got battered with a few more and the ref came in.

I agree. I just watched the Vitali fight there and what a load of bollocks that stoppage was. Solis is a disgrace, he hardly got touched and then went down like he was hit by a sniper.

And the pundits were all begging us to believe this was all legit as if there jobs were on the line.

 

Weird thing was he was doing quite well till then. Big dissapointment after a fairly promising start.
