Liam Walsh is defending his Super Feather weight Commonwealth Title against Jon Kays on the 19th March How do you guys see this fight???
Hopefully Walsh wins in impressive style. Not seen much of Kays but Walsh has looked damn good at times.
Just looks very technically sounds doesn't he, puts his shots together very well. Would be very disapointed if he doesn't win at least a European title.
Walsh wins imo, doesn't have big power but puts combo's together nicely and is a good switch hitter, his stamina isn't great and he needs to work on his defence, talented lad tho!
Boom I meant that he could win it eventually at some point in his career. Right now no but in 2 years time I do not see why not.
was a big step up going from 6 to 12 rounds. the guy he beat is a far better fighter than Ricky Burns challanger next month.
He is the Commonwealth Champion. In general the European Champion is a higher calibre of fighter. Give you an example here are my rankings at the weight. The * indicated thats Burns and Foster Jnr are both top 15 in the world. Super Featherweight (130lbs) 1. Ricky Burns (WBO World Champion)* 2. Stephen Foster Jnr (European)* 3. Gary Buckland 4. Gary Skykes (British) 5. Carl Johanesson 6. Liam Walsh (Commonwealth) 7. Andy Morris 8. Paul Truscott 9. Paul Appleby 10. Eddie Hyland (Irish) 11. Kevin O'Hara 12. John Kays 13. Troy James 14.
