Well, he was also WBA champ at 154 as recently as 2017. and he beat the talented and unbeaten alantez fox recently. sure, he shouldnt be a mandatory i totally agree……...but his resume is on a totally different Level than the one of this namibian.

As i said i am pretty sure Kautondokwa has a solid chance to beat both Ryder and Cox.

There is no reason why he should not get a chance if he is mandatory.

Let's not play the "but he's better game". It's irrelevant.
But what is prevalent is WBO appointing high rankings to undeserved fighters.

And Andrade held the WBA second rate belt at 154. And Fox was an unproven fighter with a padded record.

i have no idea who he is, im sure the guy is a decent fighter, and once saunders beats andrade he can have a few unknown fighters on resume he can perhaps beat a dangerous fighter in kautondokwa. But you were quite sure that ryder is a hype job, which he is nowhere near, and also he wasnt fighting for a world title, they both had a weak untested resume but were good prospects fighting domestic level, it is called progression, ryder wouldnt get a rematch now, even as a smw european titilist, and and and HE GAVE BJS ONE OF HIS HARDEST FIGHTS!!!! if hes mandatory why not.

PS: Im sure Ryder would break down this nambian.

Ryder lost to average domestic fighters like Nick Blackwell or Jack Arnfield. He isn't something special. Will probably get a gift decision vs featherfisted Sirotkin next month at home but still won't change my opinion.

im pretty sure he would beat godoy. Lets see what this nambian has got, Ill bet you doesnt give saunders half a problem, but atleast ryder did that. watch that fight, although they were both inexperienced you can see what ryder has. Blackwell would lose to ryder 7/10 imo but nick did a great job landing the blow and finishing it, ryder beat arnfield. the nambian has beaten worse fighters.

    1. Ryder already beat Godoy via TKO10.
    2. You can not compare Saunders a couple of years ago to Saunders 2.0. IMO! Saunders in 2018 would school Ryder badly. Probably a shutout.
    3. I actually scored Ryder vs Arnfield 114-114 if i remember correctly but still he went life and death with a complete average and basic fighter like Arnfield.

ah you cant compare saunders ofc, but you FORGET quite rightly because it would expose your arguement, that ryder hasnt progressed himself as a better fighter, a european level smw infact , not bad going, IMO he also beat hot and cold Fielding by UD, but gone done over by the judges. Arnfield isnt talented at all but is quite awkward and actually seems to be game and tough, not another argie with chin problems.

    Who did Ryder beat?

He went life and death with old Khamitski, had a much closer fight than most think with Adam Jones and beat some overrated bums like Nielsen (who lost to old and shot Abraham recently) and Cox. Talarek might be a solid journeyman but he gave him a fight too. Ryder isn't something special. He didn't beat any significant opponent in his whole career, lost every time he stepped up AND lost to some really average domestic fighters although it was arguable.

He isn't bad but he isn't as good as you think IMO.

Ryder is a tough rough inside fighting man, he loses when he tries to much to get inside when he usually outboxes his opponents, he tries to impose his will when he should think about fighting naturally, ive watched him from day one, im quite well informed about british fighters, and i might overhype them a bit but i would say ryder is a european level fighter who is on a good run of wins against similar level fighters, fighters who are above godoy and any other fighter this nambian has beat, and still i dont rate him anywhere near Top 10. but no doubt he'd beat osullivan and quite possibly give guys lemmy and stevens problems. but losing to andrade, jacobs, sujecki, charlo, dereveyanchko, murata etc. hes now at smw and on form. This nambian has beat nothing, this nambian is so untested its unreal and i hate to comment on a man ive never seen fight, but how you can give ryder stick and give this unknown guy the pass its completely dumfounded.

actually khamitski was coming of a Points loss in wba title fight. at that stage in his Career, his resume far exceeded that of the namibian. same with talarek. much better competion than Walter. and Nielsen was robbed vs Abraham...….and also has a much better resume than this namibian.

so in other words: mr Ryder, for all his limitations, has already beaten 3 fighters that have a stronger Claim to a title shot than mr. kautondokwa. comparing him to Ryder ….well there is no comparison.

Because i watched both and i think Kautondokwas style and power would trouble Ryder massively.

Those unknown african fighters are underrated often because they haven't got the background to get bigger fights + lack of funds and money. Kautondokwa is one of those guys imo.

He looks shoddy imo, it's also easier to look decent in Africa then britian.

Compare Ryders performance vs Godoy and Cox' performance vs Sai with Kautondokwas performances vs both Godoy and Sai. Looked MUCH better. Only comparison we have actually.
