Nonito was a very good fighter but seemed to fall for his hype and tried to land that 1 in every fight post Vic 1. He had the talent to progress as a pure boxer but chose to go for the big KO's.

i'm just glad Walters gave himself a chance to win by not rushing forward foolishly and into the Nonito counters. he stepped to him behind the jab the way he should have.

he did get stupid at one point and swing like an idiot. he was hurt from those shots too. good job he got back to his smart Boxing and broke him down piece by piece. quality win.

He was a good fighter at 112-122. But since he moved up against guys taller than 5'5 he struggled. Axe man is a big puncher the hardest puncher in the division.

Donaire let's be honest here was never the same after the move up in weight. He is only good against lower weighters 112-122 max.

The Rigondeaux defeat really took the wind out of his sails even before the jump up.

respect to both donair and walters. walters was completely out on his feet at the end of round 2 and donair should had been out after that upper cut but both guys recovered from those tough stretches.

obviously walters recovered just that much better. too big, too strong for nonito even tho 10 seconds earlier in round 2 and nonito would had likely stopped walters. dude was out of it..

the shot that put the real good chinned flip down was the worst place to get hit especially when you don't know its coming. top side of the head. should give you guys a heads up at how great floyds chin is. he took much harder shots from way bigger and way bigger hitters in ssm and chino yet didn't even take a knee.

I love how nonito admitted he got his ass kicked and didn't make any excuses, like lucky punch. I was going for the phantom ko,

Rigo loss wasn't that bad because he wasn't completely dominated. In this

    fight he was exterminated.

He was pretty much entirely outboxed with the exception of the KD he scored, and then was running on the backfoot in the last round while Rigo teed off. I think that was a huge blow to his confidence. He wasn't the same after that.

That might be the best post interview I ever saw in terms of class regarding Walters. He was pleading with Donaire to not give up

Nonito got a lot of encouragement on his post-fight FB message:

"Congratulations to Walters! He deserves everything. I have no regrets. I can honestly say I trained my best and I made alot of sacrifices this camp. I'm honored I lost to him in the fight we had. I hit him with everything I had and he just kept coming.
Thanks to all my friends family and fan who believed in me and still believe in me. I love u all. God bless."
