Walters vs the other featherweight Champions

  1. I love this man's attitude

He’s lucky the 126 pound division is so loaded at the moment, he could get his wish without much effort on his part.
As for how he does against the other champions:
Gradovich: I think Walters smashes the Mexican Russian without much trouble. They’re the same size, but Walters seems stronger and far more powerful. I think Walters stops him, and without much trouble.
Gonzalez: I think this is another easy win. My guess is he can take Gonzalez’s power, but I doubt the reverse will be true, judging from what we have seen in the past. Walters by mid rounds knockout.
Lomachenko: this is a toss up. Lomachenko has demonstrated that he can time his opponents with shocking ease (see the lightning fast Russell), and his movement is extraordinary. As much as I love Walters, I think Lomachenko takes this by a close decision.

He may be very unlucky its so loaded, Donaire hurt him and doesn't have near the power at 126 as he did at 122. Gonzalez and Loma may very well K him TFO.

Yes, his toughest fights in order is against Lomachenko, Grodovich and Gonzalez.

I am sure he will KO Ganzalez who almost went the distance with Arce. Grodovich I think Walters can UD but close because Grodovich is also very strong with a good chin and his body attack might cause trouble to Walters thin waist line.

I thought Donaire's hands was faster than Walters, so Lomachenko should have the hand speed advantage as well as the foot speed advantage. Lomachenko's overall experience in the ring should earn him a UD on this one. And again Lomachenko is a good body puncher that can give Walters additional trouble.

I think he wins against Gradovich, not sure about Gonzalez and loses to Lomachenko.

The MExican-Russian would get smashed. Lomachenko might be to green and Gonzales is not unbreatable.
I think Gonzales is the best FW right now.

It is perhaps the top division in boxing as this is written. Many intriguing fights and everyone seems willing to fight each other.

If Rigondeaux moves up to 126, he beats Walters and anybody else who has balls enough to fight him. :deal

I think Walters would make for very exciting fights with anyone, stylistically. Just a fun guy to watch based on what we can assess from the Vic and Donaire KO's.

I think he beats Gradovich in style.

I'd take him over Gonzalez but Jhonny has a chance, especially when you consider how open Walters seemed to be to the left-hook (to the body and head) against Donaire. Gonzalez has real power in that shot but I'd still favour Walters.

I'll take Lomachenko by decision in a competitive fight, where his movement helps offset Walters' jab.

Well that's one thing that won't be happening. His manager has said so again just the other day. Rigo is too small for 126.
