    What happened? :verysad

This was the best looking belt IMO of all belts... maybe not the WBC Diamond belt but all the real belts!

Does anyone know anymore than WIKI on this?

It could have been great if the UFC said yes!

Add it to the many promotions that couldn't survive association with the Jonah of MMA.

The thing is it wasn't a promotions company... it was an organization like the WBA, WBO or WBC...

They wanted to govern fights within promotions. It did involve money but this could have got rid of these rubbish judge calls we keep seeing :deal

You do realise how stupid this statement is? Surely?

    Why?

If they sanctioned the fight they would choose the judges. If they choose the judges then they would have the responsability of training them.

Therefore the judges might understand how to score a "Teep" or a "Takedown" and not just look for "OCTOGAN CONTROL!!!"

Okay I was just referring to your idea that copying boxing's system would avoid promotional politics but your stupidty goes way beyond that.

Sanctioning bodies DO NOT pick the judges in America. Not even in boxing. The athletic commission pick them. Judging problems are not the fault of the UFC but of the athletic commissions and the unified rules they created.

You might have had a modicum of a point if it was a "promotion".
WAMMA worked in principle. But unfortunately they introduced it at a time when the UFC was the last man standing. Naturally Dana had zero interest in it as he's not interested in promoting a unified champion.

Tell me where I said it was a promotion? I said add it to the many promotions that folded after being associated with Fedor. Noticed I didn't say other. Nope, not once.

Btw that list of promotions is Bodog, IFL, Affliction. Strikeforce isn't looking to healthy either.

    Your words not mine.

And yes Fedor was responsible for the PRIDE and Affliction folding. I honestly dont know why you even bother to post.
And yeah suuuure SF isnt looking to healthy. You been rubbing your UFC crystal ball again? What other revelations can you pull out of your ass?

Firstly, again tell me where I said WAMMA was a promotion. The statement you quoted back at me doesn't say that. If I said "add it to the other promotions..." then it would but I didn't say that BECAUSE IT WOULDN'T BE TRUE.

Secondly, if Fedor was the superstar that some people think he was then perhaps the likes of Affliction would have been successful.

Thirdly from where I'm standing Strikeforce doesn't look healthy. No CBS. Still no debut on PPV. Can't make the big fights it wants. Its surviving solely at the whim of Showtime.
