This is a monumentally stupid post. Its so crap i dont think its even worth arguing with. Wandy is an ATG. He's entitled to his opinion wether it has merit or not. And yeah your right who's Yoshida or Fujita? atschatsch
I thought we've established that cdnboxing seldom makes sense once it come to his "knowledge" about MMA.
can i have a hit of your crack pipe, i want to live in fantasy world with you, it seems nice there. :good
No its common sense. Anybody who brings up Fujita and Yoshida as good wins are delusional. Who the hell did they beat? I never said Wand wasnt good but hes not great. The sport has passed him by.
He is on of the all time greats. and if you don't know they guys Yoshida and Fujita beat well that your problem.
WHAT ? :admin Not a great fighter ? At this particular moment he is still a decent championship contender but he is shot to hell but if you judge his whole career, he is ARGUABLY the best 205 lb fighter of all time.
If Shogun is back to his best - & there were small signs vs Chuck - then Anderson wont be clearing ****. Both at their best, there is not much between them in a p4p sense but Rua being the natural & bigger built 205er will/should be too strong. In saying that - I do agree Andy beats just about every LHWT, his skills can overcome their bulk in MOST occassions, just not in Rua`s case tho... personal opinion. It would be a fight for the ages tho.
WEAR & TEAR has helped the sport pass him by, I doubt MMA has even improved 1 bit since Wanderlei`s peak never mind evolved enough to pass him by, thats a mental statement, you must be ****ing with everybody here. Thats a bit like saying the sport of boxing had passed by Ray Leonard when he lost to Norris, he was no longer the same fighter, same as the axe murderer is no longer at his peak, THATS the reason. The guy ended Sakuraba`s amazing pride run when Sak was the best p4p fighter on earth, that alone tells you he falls into the `great` department rather than just `good` & his record suggests it wasnt a 1 off fluke either. atsch
The yellow card rule would be great in the UFC. Would change the way fighters operate. Wanderlei was a beast in Pride however the punishment he took in fighting and training just took its toll. Remember this is the guy that destroyed Quinton Jackson. The 2nd fight was just brutal and Jackson got destroyed. Quinton beating Silva in the UFC is more down to the fact that Silva is finished than Jackson has got better. Fighting HW's didnt help and also in training its known Silva would spar with HW's to see how quickly he could recover from getting hit. That has an effect on the body and the defeat vs cro crop was the fight that finished silva for good. Cro Crop killed him that night and the high kick that Ko'ed him was immense. The Fujita win very impressive. This guy was a HW and Silva destroyed him. It was brutal. Look at the kicks Fujita took to his face and he was still going as the guy has a cement head. May I also add Fujita is the only guy every to have Fedor in trouble. He rocked Fedor big time. Silva having to get off the juice in the US hasnt helped either.
