    Haha! That's a great staredown! That's why there always needs to be a third party to break it up. Otherwise fighters will just stare at each other forever! They're like hungry dogs waiting for that one sign of weakness in their opponent.

    If I remember correctly he actually beat the **** out of Don Frye in that fight.

    Nah i didnt think so. Thompson is a can. It was a shame to see Frye simply wilt on the ropes refuse to go down while taking punishment from a guy he would have wrecked in his prime.

    Hmmm not really. James apparently had studied psychology and had a degree in it. He knew exactly what to do to entertain the Japanese fans who labelled his style the "Gong and dash". He was also a former bodybuilder. With his massive size and frame he knew exactly how to act in order to become a fan favourite with the Japanese.
    Only problem is he had the fighting IQ of a rock and a chin made of bone china....

    yea i think he did win that fight but i've seen many of his fights where he gets KTFO. the best one was against alexander emilianenko.:lol:
